[Rirgon's Tavern]
The spacious tavern is filled with the sounds of music and laughter. Naturally formed platforms of kailet wood serve as seating for this establishment and have been placed close together to form the short bar. Upon a small stage located in the back, two Darju beat out a fierce rhythm while a young woman dances. Knives twirling between her fingers, she tosses them aside with style as she moves to the tempo. The dancer then picks up two more long knives that are connected by a wooden stick and begins to twirl them between her legs and around her body.

You also see some double doors, a kailet bar, some kailet barstools, a blood red chovn, a downy soft apricot aiba and a fluffy pink gamojab.
Also here is Crooner Nkehu Lho who is sitting on some kailet barstools, Strummer Haidee Idia-Anari who is sitting on some kailet barstools, Opera Singer Zamde Morgav-D'Eloe who is sitting on some kailet barstools, Guitarantula Mickey Brunner, Chloe Taylor, Huntsman Torrent Hate'z, Shexixax Qixitol, and Fighter Pilot Aesal Anari-Idia.
You see no obvious exits here.
>
Mickey Brunner says, "I expected a bigger turnout of Performers, but ah well."
>
Mickey Brunner says, "I didn't productively prepare for this meeting with any more than a few notes since I've been really busy, but I'll wing it."
>
Mickey Brunner says, "For starters, I'm eating Spell Research."
>
Mickey Brunner says, "I was going to introduce Music Theory in Beta, but dangit, five skills to be totally effective is already 2.5 more than pretty much any other profession needs to complete their regimen."
>
Mickey Brunner says, "And the other thing that will make Performers happy..."
>
Mickey Brunner says, "Provided it doesn't get nuked from above after protests from the local hotheads, the Drums of Fear will be True Performer only with the new experience rollout."
>
Mickey Brunner says, "And probably some other songs I haven't decided on yet, so when I get around to listening to suggestions after my rhetoric, feel free to chime in."
>
Torrent Hate'z asks, "It is possible to overcome such songs isnt it?"
>
Torrent Hate'z asks, "When performed in front of you?"
>
Mickey Brunner says, "Yeah. In fact, the mechanics are no different than resisting spells and powers."
>
Torrent Hate'z nods.
>
Torrent Hate'z says, "Its fairly difficult to do so."
>
Shexixax Qixitol says, "I heard of a newbie being able to paralyze Mellie a while back."
>
Shexixax Qixitol says, "So I wouldn't take so much stock in resistance abilities."
>
Torrent Hate'z says, "That was me."
>
Shexixax Qixitol grins.
>
Torrent Hate'z chuckles.
>
Haidee Idia-Anari asks, "Mellie sucks at mentality, though...doesn't she?"
>
Torrent Hate'z says, "Would guess so."
>
Shexixax Qixitol asks, "Well still. 1st or something versus someone so high?"
>
Torrent Hate'z simpers coyly.
>
Shexixax Qixitol says, "Kind of ridiculous."
>
Shexixax Qixitol grins.
>
Haidee Idia-Anari says, "Well you can't be 1st and learn Drums of Fear."
>
Zamde Morgav-D'Eloe says, "I've got rocking resistance, but in my opinion the people complaining that they can't resist it would be like me bitching that ranged weapons are overpowered if they do damage by shooting me in the face."
>
Haidee Idia-Anari asks, "I know that Performers get +15% spellsong resistance. Is there any way to see that in INFO?"
>
Mickey Brunner says, "No. It's actually hardcoded into the resist check, and it really only counts for Drums of Fear and Song of Silence."
>
Mickey Brunner says, "Spellsong prerequisites: I'm going to do everything in my power to compute them so that the transition will suffer little, if any, loss of ability. If I just multiply them all by 5, it should be okay."
>
Torrent Hate'z asks, "Can you add dances that arnt performer abilities?"
>
Torrent Hate'z asks, "Like just fun verbs for dancing?"
>
Mickey Brunner says, "Faith added some, I think."
>
Torrent Hate'z says, "Oh okay."
>
Torrent Hate'z says, "My mistake."
>
Mickey Brunner says, "It wasn't for lack of me thinking we needed them, I just get caught up in system stuff and forget about fluff."
>
Mickey Brunner says, "I'll probably do away with that one-song-at-a-time stuff, too."
>
Mickey Brunner says, "But when you think about it, it benefits you more to do them one at a time because you learn them faster dependent on how many other songs you already know."
>
Mickey Brunner says, "Plus you get free skill-train-through-use."
>
Mickey Brunner says, "Aaaand..."
>
Mickey Brunner says, "I'm also going to at least look at the bonus caps for songs like the Ballad of the Sentinel and Song of Protection."
>
Mickey Brunner says, "Since they cap at 40%, I think. Which, with the 5-train stuff, will get hit pretty quickly, unless I redo the math and screw all the Performers that know it by dropping their bonus."
>
Mickey Brunner says, "Cosmetic: I'm going to make the appropriate instruments not affected by the concept of tuning."
>
Torrent Hate'z begins to lead Chloe Taylor.
>
Torrent Hate'z enters some double doors. Torrent Hate'z's group follows him.
>
Mickey Brunner says, "And those that don't fall under 'tunable' will be at what would otherwise be the average no-bonus-no-penalty tuning."
>
Mickey Brunner says, "And now to break some hearts -- I'm probably going to kill ventriloquism."
>
Haidee Idia-Anari asks, "So will there be a new boon put in place or will we have to pick from the others?"
>
Mickey Brunner says, "I know how wildly fun it is, but there's a target parsing issue I can't seem to pin down that you may have already noticed; and with the general public attitude lately, I think it might be best saved for a later time."
>
Mickey Brunner says, "Yeah. I was thinking about a boon that adds an Echak Island option to the March of the Golden Tree Path."
>
Haidee Idia-Anari asks, "Echak AND Jareya?"
>
Mickey Brunner says, "Or a divine instrument or something that can emulate it."
>
Mickey Brunner says, "Jareya's not mine."
>
Mickey Brunner grins at Haidee Idia-Anari.
>
Haidee Idia-Anari asks, "And Llanfair is?"
>
Mickey Brunner says, "No, but that was already in the song when I inherited the guruship, so I claimed exclusive privilege."
>
Mickey Brunner preens!
>
Mickey Brunner says, "Speaking of divine instruments, I need to mess with the eteoch-skin drum. I think it bypasses the NoPvP stuff."
>
Mickey Brunner says, "I think that's about it. So now you can make suggestions, complaints, or attempts at my good favor."
>
Haidee Idia-Anari says, "I know that Song of Silence isn't as widely abused as Drums of Fear, but if you take Drums of Fear away I'm afraid SoS might become the new DoF abuse-wise."
>
Mickey Brunner seems to agree!
>
Mickey Brunner says, "It's one I was thinking about."
>
Mickey Brunner says, "I don't want to be a hardass and go cutting off the average player from spellsongs, but on the other hand there are some damned neat things other professions can cast/focus that nobody else can."
>
Shexixax Qixitol says, "I'd just suggest making all area-effect spells the domain of performers."
>
Shexixax Qixitol says, "Makes it easy."
>
Mickey Brunner says, "I've considered that, too."
>
Haidee Idia-Anari says, "Oh also, in the last Performer meeting you mentioned something about a Performer guild hall or something like that..."
>
Haidee Idia-Anari asks, "And more news on that?"
>
Mickey Brunner says, "Truth be told, I'm all for any alternative that keeps Performers from being no good for anything but a bonus to tailoring because everyone can learn anything else."
>
Mickey Brunner says, "The Performer academy is all but done. It's mostly been for a long time, but I stink at descriptions and building and don't quite have the neat zinger perks put in yet."
>
Mickey Brunner says, "Since, you know, you'll have the skill points to actually TRAIN to do it and all."
>
Haidee Idia-Anari says, "That was going to be the next thing I was going to mention."
>
Mickey Brunner says, "Is that cool, or what? I could piddle on the floor in excitement right here."
>
Haidee Idia-Anari says, "Please don't."
>
Haidee Idia-Anari asks, "Will instrument crafting work more like tailoring or carving?"
>
Mickey Brunner says, "Crafting."
>
Haidee Idia-Anari asks, "Will we be able to detail them like artisans can detail their stuff?"
>
Mickey Brunner says, "I think I'd considered pre-made components at first, but I can change that. It's probably a lot more gratifying building your own soundboxes and doing the purfling yourself."
>
Haidee Idia-Anari asks, "And will other professions be able to craft instruments as well?"
>
Mickey Brunner says, "I hope so. At the very least, you can sign it for authenticated signature instruments."
>
Haidee Idia-Anari asks, "What skills will it use?"
>
Mickey Brunner says, "Maybe a cool quality effect if you're really good at it, like making big containers with tailoring."
>
Mickey Brunner says, "I can't think of a good reason to not let non-Performers make instruments, but that's tempered by the idea that it doesn't really benefit them to and Performers can/will do it better."
>
Mickey Brunner says, "The appropriate music skill, probably, although it's where Music Theory would have been heavy once upon a time. And probably craftsmanship, and some appropriate mix of stats."
>
Haidee Idia-Anari asks "Back to the Academy... (sorry for jumping all over topics) ...When do you think you're going to open it up? Can't you just enlist the help of another Councelor to help you out designing things?"
>
Haidee Idia-Anari asks "And what kind of things will be in it?"
>
Mickey Brunner says, "I can get some building help, probably, but I'm all weird about things not looking/acting exactly the way I want them."
>
Mickey Brunner says, "I think the Academy was supposed to debut the instrument crafting originally."
>
Haidee Idia-Anari asks, "You said originally...is it still meant to do so?"
>
Mickey Brunner says, "I don't know."
>
Mickey Brunner grins.
>
Mickey Brunner says, "I think there's a crafting area in there with bonuses for it, and I know there are some areas with heavy performance bonuses."
>
Mickey Brunner says, "And stuff I'm not ready to discuss since it's super top-secret."
>
Mickey Brunner says, "Oh, and I'll probably replace that Chapel of Love option in the March with a spot in the academy."
>
Haidee Idia-Anari says, "I'm upset you had to ruin my fun with that."
>
Haidee Idia-Anari asks, "Will the Academy be Performer only?"
>
Mickey Brunner says, "I'm not sure why the Chapel was closed, but it was. Probably because of the thing out on Chodaku for weddings."
>
Mickey Brunner says, "And the Academy is performer-entrance only."
>
Mickey Brunner says, "Well, the main body. There's a lobby and some spots where anyone can get to."
>
Mickey Brunner says, "I entertained ideas for more spellsongs, but if I give Performers anything else the other gurus are going to have me shot."
>
Mickey Brunner says, "Plus I'm going to co-op with Valla on Artisan stuff a bit, because it's conducive to my health."
>
You hear the voice of Valla Storm say, "Yep."
>
Mickey Brunner glances around the area.
>
You hear the voice of Valla Storm say, "Just being the nosey bee."
>
Mickey Brunner says, "Just don't tell anyone about the SUMMON THEKKO power boon."
>
Mickey Brunner says, "He's no fun anymore, now that he's been proved defeatable."
>
Mickey Brunner says, "But that's fine with me, since the experience rollout gives me ample room to make uglier stuff."
>
Haidee Idia-Anari asks, "Is the spell research thing going to be ready by the time the new thing rolls out?"
>
Mickey Brunner says, "I had something I meant to add to my notes to bring up, but I forget it."
>
Mickey Brunner says, "Yeah, it'll go in with all the other stuff we're messing with."
>
Mickey Brunner says, "I don't personally know how the actual rollout will be implemented, like if we'd shut down for a short while or something."
>
Mickey Brunner says, "But it'd be in there somewhere."
>
Mickey Brunner says, "That's the sum of my talkaboutsie stuff."
>
Mickey Brunner says, "I've got the next four days without a computer to occupy myself with creativity, so I'm hoping to have a lot of stuff in mind when I get back home."
>
Mickey Brunner says, "Just visiting my family."
>
Mickey Brunner says, "I should wrap this up now. I've got to pack. And find a box big enough to check my daughter in as luggage."
>
Mickey Brunner waves frantically!
>
Mickey Brunner suddenly disappears!
