> NOW ACCESSING 'CYBERGEAR: CYBERGEAR PARTS'...

> ...

The information on this chart was compiled by Gabriel though it has been concised into a single and hopefully much simpler chart.

The most important thing about getting a cybergear socket implanted is to buy the replacement part and upgrade it with all the upgrades you want before you go in for surgery. Cybergear can be found at the Cyber Clinic and at the Trooper Headquarters (only troopers can use the gear found at the Trooper shop, but don't dispare! Eoleon the Cybertech can install additional sockets for you when he comes around). At the Trooper shop you can buy preinstalled gear and foot upgrades you can't at the Cyber Clinic.

It will cost you $2,000 to visit the Cyber Clinic's medical team. Remember that if you go in to get your eyes removed and implanted, you will be blind upon emerging from the wing! Have your cybergear in your hands before you sign the sheet and go in when your name is called.

All cybergear can be ATTACHED and DETACHED. Technicians can repair minor damage at the second promotion to eyes and upgrade their own cybergear at the fourth promotion, so it is suggested that you wait until at least fourth promotion before you get yourself implanted. A technician does not have to remove their cybergear to repair damage to it. You'll need a electronics repair kit for minor damage and anything further you'll need other equiptment that can be found with Shavcire. If you can no repair your own gear, SHOW it to Shavcire and he'll fix it for you for a price.

APPRAISING a part will tell you how damaged it is, the equiptment you'll need to fix it, if you can fix it, and what upgrades are in the gear.

Armor has a SEPERATE slot on cybergear and does not take up a slot. APPRAISING your cybergear is a little misleading. Your hand will say it has three slots, but one of those slots is armor-only.

Sometimes the CyberTech comes around and sells special coverings for cybergear. These can be SNAPped on easily and don't effect armor nor count as it. Synthskin covers a cybergear so well that people will no longer see you implanted with it when they LOOK at you.

If you want to change your upgrades, you can EXTRACT them. You need to be sixth promotion to do this.

Note: You CAN have more then one of the same upgrade in each limb and the bonuses do stack.

Further note: The Cybertech merchant, Eoleon, sells other things for cybergear in his shop (a swirling vortex). Not only can he read what element you are -- probably the coolest experience...Kit's Earth -- but he can also do alterations to exsisting gear. For sale in his shop are covers to add a new and exciting look to your gear without an alteration and he also sells synth-skin. When you have synth-skin on, looking at you will not show that you have cybergear implanted! To use a cover from this merchant, SNAP it on and UNSNAP it to take it off.
