I voted high because after some quick calculations I figured I'm going to have to be *at least* level 140 to max out my stats. This doesn't include the multipliers as higher stats become increasingly difficult to train. Unless of course you have plans to take this game to much higher levels, in which case it's probably about perfect

Well discounting strength and vitality for me (and charisma as well, but those are the big ones), it's kind of difficult to train anything BUT those two stats with the amount that I need to spend to increase them. For the Jaddan, we have a bonus in three stats and a penalty in five. Training agility and coordination have pretty much been nearly forgotton for mentals and strength and vitality...which I imagine would make us great shield users but kills most chances we have of evading if shields won't work. _________________ Help! I should point out... if training costs were reduced, it would be such that penalties would be less as well as bonuses. So while those easy train stats would perhaps cost more (definitely for Jaddan str.) the penalty stats would be less penalized. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

I for one really like the extreme ranges for Jaddan.. if I wanted lower penalties (and consequently lower bonuses) or more balanced stats I would have picked another race

I would've gone with 'Too high!', but with my main character being a Human.. and everything taking up 10 Stat Training Points to train.. it's not too bad for me. But that's not saying the cost isn't high; restricted to just 5 total stat points when some of the other races can get, maybe, eight or nine, isn't all that fun.

well I just kinda checked out the cost it would take for me as jaddan to max out each stat. they all pretty much run close to same with stats ranging from 80's to 130 i believe it was.
avg of appx 1600, think its like 25 stat pts per level trained? plus add in the extras while training can't remember for sure think was 1 per 2000, or 1 per 3000, so go with 2500, get about 16 more. Appx total of 41 per level. appx 40 circles per stat, 8 stats, so about 320 circles to max all stats.
hmm me thinks my brain not so good don't seem like its right. knowing me messed up a lot of ah ahr ahr , bah math there. Also, probably don't have all my facts right either. if not than me thinks I'd have to revote to high. but all numbers are only guesses. |

You receive 5000 stat training points from levels 1-100 (including CMgr awarded points when you roll up).
This means if you distributed your stats evenly, you'd essentially be able to max each stat at 62, since the average stat cost is 10 and 5000 / 10 / 8 = 62 _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

For me (Jaddan) to max:
Stat(current cost) * ranks to max = total point cost.
Agility(16) * 74 = 1184
Charisma(7) * 100 = 700
Coordination(16) * 74 = 1184
Intellect(13) * 87 = 1131
Mentality(13) * 86 = 1118
Perception(13) * 87 = 1131
Strength(3) * 100 = 300
Vitality(3) * 96 = 288
Total point cost = 7036
Divided by 50 points per level = 140.72
Again, this isn't counting the increasing cost of training higher stats

charisma 1440
mental 1608
intel 1660
agility 1575
coord 1591
perc 1686
total 11300/50=226
so looks bit high, all maxed 100 or equiv max

BTW it is not intended for you to be able to max your stats by level 100 Otherwise, every Darju would be like every other Darju stat-wise, right? But the gap between now and maxing may be too high, yet. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

That works out to be about 500 days.. assuming you were draining *constantly* for that period of time (and neglecting the penalty for continuous drain.)
Taking the average playing time (based on the limited poll data) of approximately 142 hours a month, you're looking at just over 7 years for the average gamer to max.
Yeah, I'd say that's a little high.
If I had more information on the experience drain penalties I could determine the ideal drain to downtime ratio for absolute fastest stat maxing, but I think the point has been made

It's about on par with MO, and not far from Simu games in general, but you can't actually make this kind of calculation. Mostly because there is a level cap, 100. After 100 you can raise skills and stats without any caps, but you also only get stat and skill points from draining, not leveling too, since you no longer level. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato
