read com
USAGE:
TUNE COMM <CHANNEL> ON/OFF - Toggles channel on or off
TUNE COMM ALL ON/OFF - Toggles all channels on or off
I may be missunderstanding the command, but I'm curious if the communicators are supposed to allow specific channels to be blocked.
If so, then I don't believe this works right. I had typed, "tune com 0 off," but still was able to recieve messages from that channel. When I typed the command again I recieved the message that, "You are not currently tuned to that channel."

Channel 0 is the scanner and is effectively all channels, not a specific one. Beau, feel free to chime in with more details if I'm incorrect/missing something. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

Hrm..
I guess I'm still not following.
If 0 is all, what is it that prevents other chanels that a com can pick up from being echoed into that chanel?
I'm just trying to understand what exactly the tune command is for. It doesn't work wtih the other channels either as far as I can tell.
tune com 5 off
You have tuned out channel 5 from your comm's frequencies.
trans 5 xxx
You transmit your message on channel [5].
tune com 5 on
You have tuned your comm unit to accept signals from channel 5.
It would be nice to have a way to block out certain chanels without having to stop listening to others. |
