What are the differences between multiphase and pulse type pulse weapons?
Are multiphase types the combination of pulse and ionic shots, or something else?

Yep, pulse/ionic combo.  Right now all pulse are the same.. that is, they act like "pulse".. regardless of whether they're ionic or mp, but that will be changed in the near future.
