This is a note that is equally important for both Medics and Mages actually. After some thought, we're going to ditch internal damage / injuries. Why? Well, it's not incredibly useful as a concept, and it's a complete nuisance when one starts graduating from the health of a humanoid to the health of many, many more types of creatures.
Some reworking will be done for medical processes at some point in the future to account for this, and the Mage elemental spell circle will be adjusted to handle the fact that about half of its spells are now essentially obsolete. More info on both as it becomes available.
Any other systems or abilities that use internal damage will also be adjusted or redesigned, of course. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

Poor surgery. But I guess that can be reworked for implants instead of internal wounds, though I think that the plan was to have them for both in the long run. Oh well. Less wounds to worry about now, I guess.

Just to suggest something to replace the elemental spells that deal with internal injuries, could you possibly work in the Earth element? So far there's only Acid, Fire/Heat, Ice/Cold, and Electricity. Might as well get it rounded-out, eh? That'd give you an equal amount of spells for Earth as the rest of the elements with an extra spell left over.. which can be used for an Uber-Elemental-Spell that damages with a little bit of every element. Wouldn't that be fun?

The reason there's no "Earth" is because essentially Earth is covered by blunt (usually) or other types of damage. A rock hitting you does blunt, or a sharp rock may do slashing, etc.
It would be a nice way to fill out the list, but it wouldn't be logical. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

You mean I don't get my Lazer scalpel? And sharp cutting instruments of doom? But then uhh how does someone bleed without internal injuries? you mean we don't get to chop off peoples arms and stuff? lol

Na, what I mean is that external / internal are combined into a single location/type of damage instead of separate entities. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

I have a question, does this mean there is no trainer for surgery? Because I've pestered as many medical facilities that I can find without any luck of finding the trainer.

..I was wondering what happened to the Handle Animal trainer. I knew I found him Saturday, but I haven't been able to find him since. Heh. I guess you took Tailoring out, too; I found that in the castle Sunday. Your mind games will not work on me any longer!
