As you take note of your surroundings, you discover that the air has the aroma of freshly brewed coffee.

You also see (Holowas Reho), (a sparkling counter with some stuff on it), a gigantic trash can, a short wall, a recessed stone staircase set into the wall, a spherical holo-vision projector attached to the wall, an elevator door, (an elevator button), a silver streetlamp, a sparkling fountain with a marble base, a bright yellow pavilion with a waving pennant, a titanium donation bin, a large shiny brass bell hanging from a lamppost, (a low-profile surveillance camera), a dismal ice sculpture of a borkin and a very young nurse.
Also here is Hiresword Cadoc Otori who is sitting on the marble base of the fountain, Denavae DeVries, and Portent Reader Saviya Jal.
You notice exits leading north, south, and west.

Saviya Jal says, "Greetings, young one."

You see Portent Reader Saviya Jal, a Human Gypsy.
She has mismatched gray and blue eyes and a bronze complexion.
She has very long braided silver hair.
She has a weathered face.
She has a petite build.
She stands about 4' 8" tall, and seems to be somewhat aged for a Human.

She is holding a polished wooden staff carved with arcane symbols in her right hand and nothing in the left.
She is wearing a moss green bandana threaded with ribbons, some silver disc earrings, a silver nose stud, a long strand of brightly-colored wooden beads, a cream shirt with puffed shoulders and flowing sleeves, a brown leather vest, some silver bangles, a thick silver band tooled with symbols, a knotted sash with long tassels, a flowing purple skirt with tiny charms attached to the hem, a soft leather drawstring pouch, a brightly-colored haversack made of patches, a pale yellow underskirt, a copper toe ring, and a pair of soft leather sandals.

You glance around the area.

Saviya Jal asks, "Have you not felt the disturbance?"

Saviya Jal says, "The gods..."

You say, "Oh shi..."

Saviya Jal closes her eyes briefly.

Denavae DeVries says, "Are of no concern of mine."

You say, "Last time there was a disturbance a glowing man struck me down with lightning."

A pool of dark gray ooze forms before you on the ground. Almost instantly its center becomes a cold, still black almost as if it were a pit leading through the very ground into the world's deepest reaches.
Vaei Seiei is expelled from the black void!
Elwae Ventril is expelled from the black void!
A simple air drone hovers in.

Vaei Seiei stows her rifts potion in a crimson moire silk backpack embroidered with an enchanting rose with tiny thorns in shades of antique white.

Saviya Jal says, "The planes...are torn with their grief."

You turn to Saviya Jal and ask, "Seth Ventril. Who are you?"

Saviya Jal gazes at you.

Saviya Jal says, "I am called Saviya."

Denavae DeVries gazes at Saviya Jal.

Vaei Seiei peers quizzically at Saviya Jal.

Saviya Jal says, "I have read the portents."

Saviya Jal opens a soft leather drawstring pouch.

Saviya Jal gets some divination bones from a soft leather drawstring pouch.

You turn to Saviya Jal and ask, "You a Cuori? Hadurach...Asai...Whatever?"

Saviya Jal sighs heavily.

Vaei Seiei pats a simple air drone.
A simple air drone's visual sensors glance in her direction, but it does nothing.

Saviya Jal says, "I need to rest these old bones."

Vaei Seiei says, "There is a wall to sit on."

Saviya Jal makes her way carefully to the base of the fountain and seats herself with some difficulty.

You dust off a short wall.

Saviya Jal sits on the marble base of the fountain.

You sit on a short wall.

Vaei Seiei says, "Or that."

Saviya Jal rests her staff across her knees.

Saviya Jal says, "I know not yet what awaits us."

Denavae DeVries asks, "What portents do you speak of?"

Saviya Jal says, "I have seen very little."

Saviya Jal shakes her head.

Saviya Jal says, "I know only that the gods are creating a vast disturbance."

Seth Ventril places his elbows and leans forward, his eyes shifting quickly to the gypsy as he pulls forward til he settles on the edge of the wall.

Saviya Jal says, "There is much anger."

Saviya Jal says, "And grief..."

Saviya Jal says, "Such grief I have never seen."

Saviya Jal says, "I came to warn you...all of you."

Vaei Seiei fidgets nervously.

You say, "Yeah. We get these alot..."

Vaei Seiei asks, "Are we in danger?"

Denavae DeVries snorts.

Denavae DeVries asks, "When aren't we?"

You glance at Saviya Jal.

You purchase a cup of aromatic ruchnaberry tea for $30 in cash.

Saviya Jal says, "I will keep reading the bones, and hope to gain more insight to the exact nature of the danger."

You offer a cup of aromatic ruchnaberry tea to Saviya Jal.

Saviya Jal says, "But yes, there is danger."

Denavae DeVries sits on the marble base of the fountain.

You ask, "Do your visions pertain to the war on the plane of fire?"

Saviya Jal's eyes unfocus slightly as she gazes off into the distance.

Saviya Jal says, "There was...a feeling about them, one of fire, of heat."

Saviya Jal shakes her head in frustration.

You nod.

Saviya Jal says, "I do not know, I am sorry."

You turn to Saviya Jal and say, "Rest yourself, I won't press you."

Denavae DeVries says, "That doesn't necessarily mean the plane of fire."

Elwae Ventril slings a dull black AG9-Protector series rifle fitted with a carved jalumin stock over his shoulder.

You turn to Saviya Jal and say, "If you can, explain your visions with as much precision and detail as possible."

Saviya Jal frowns.

Saviya Jal says, "It is impossible to explain to one who has not the Gift."

Vaei Seiei glances at Elwae uneasily.

Saviya Jal pushes herself up from the base with difficulty, grimacing.

Saviya Jal stands up from the marble base of the fountain.

Elwae Ventril smiles at Vaei Seiei.

Denavae DeVries says, "Explain it to me, perhaps, Old mother? I have some gift with clairvoyance."

Saviya Jal says, "I must warn the others. There are more villages and those in danger."

You stand up from a short wall.

Saviya Jal dusts herself off.

Saviya Jal says, "I will return and speak with you more when I have more knowledge, young ones."

A pool of dark gray ooze forms before you on the ground. Almost instantly its center becomes a cold, still black almost as if it were a pit leading through the very ground into the world's deepest reaches.

Meia Knight bows before Saviya Jal.

Saviya Jal smiles.

Elwae Ventril nods to Saviya Jal.

You say, "Yeah well...We see alot of crazy stuff in this town..."

Saviya Jal rests her hand on your forehead.

Vaei Seiei blinks.
You blink.

Saviya Jal says, "Be well, young ones. And be safe."

Denavae DeVries furrows his brow.

Portent Reader Saviya Jal goes north.

Meia Knight leans on Denavae DeVries.

Vaei Seiei says, "Well. I did feel safe until now."

Meia Knight smiles at Vaei Seiei.

Elwae Ventril asks, "So. What'd I miss?"

Meia Knight sits on the marble base of the fountain.

Denavae DeVries says, "A warning of impending doom and what not."

Not quite sure yet if this is related to the Asai and Cuori. So I made a new thread. Log of what happened at CC.

You blink.

Saviya Jal says, "I have more travels ahead of me. The surrounding villages need the warnings as well."

You turn to Saviya Jal and ask, "Do you need escort?"

You stand up from a short wall.

Saviya Jal says, "Take care, young ones."

Drak Taiben turns to Saviya Jal and says, "Good luck, then."

Saviya Jal shakes her head, smiling slightly.

Saviya Jal says, "I am not as helpless as I may look."

Saviya Jal smiles.

Meia Knight smiles.

Mumon Gogo appears to be staring at Saviya Jal in awe.

You turn to Saviya Jal and say, "Of course not."

Zanquin Walei says, "Walk in the light, dear."

You turn to Saviya Jal and say, "But everyone can use muscle."

Saviya Jal nods to Zanquin Walei.

Saviya Jal says, "Until we meet again."

Meia Knight nods.

Saviya Jal stands up from the marble base of the fountain.

Portent Reader Saviya Jal goes north.

More eventage...That leads me to believe this is more closely connected to Seth's boss and the alteri kidnappings...

Just a quick update.

Saviya came back the other day (two nights ago?) and said she had a vision of an "hourglass and an Eteoch" who would arrive later that day.

Nyx,an eolaish shield maiden, was the name of the "hourglass" who purportedly serves Vara (who's symbol is the hourglass) showed up, waved her sword about and talking about destroying the altar to keep it out of enemy hands and ours alike. Because we couldn't keep it safe, it clearly wasn't meant for our hands in the first place (or some such), and if it doesn't get to Vara's hands, then Nyx will destroy it. Though Nyx is of neutral character, her actions aren't what one would expect.

Speculations aroused seem to indicate that Nyx is after Rugnol (who is the god of Fear and Nightmares and responsible for Elwae's daydream), and that she is somewhat misguided. Or so we hope.

I waited to post this because I thought someone with a log might post up, but I forgot to log the event (since it was so short ... roughly 15 minutes) and so had to summarize from what I remember.

Time and space blur drunkenly, a moment seeming to stretch into oblivion. A maelstrom of sparkling white sand kicks up, whirling madly as a pinpoint of silver light stabs through the chaos, brightening to an almost blinding hue. Nyx Cyntra saunters out of the storm, the sand abruptly falling to the ground as she taps the hourglass hanging at her waist.

This beautiful garden is partially enclosed by curved ivy-covered walls. There are two gaps to the east and west. On the north wall, you notice a small waterfall. Oddly, the water crashes to the ground and immediately dissipates. Arranged in no particular pattern, a large variety of blooming flowers line the narrow walkway that passes through. You notice the sweet smell carried in on the cool air as you take a deep breath.

As you take note of your surroundings, you discover that the air has a sweet smell to it.

Yeah, I guess I got alittle button happy with things going on and running around too much. But, oh well, I had alot of fun. The bug thing was a very interesting style of attacks I would have to admit.

I *was* going to do a log but...By the end of the event there was just too much scroll and traveling, would of taken hours to edit to something postable, so I'll just go with a summary.

This happened tonight. There was an event earlier in the day but I wasn't part of it, so if someone who was could provide a log, much appreciated.

Anyways, shadow spawn started popping up all over town ranging from 115th promotion to 200th promotion. So after the high level people (curse high level encounters! j/k) dispatched the spawn, this was broadcast:

TELEPATHY [infinite]: Vhelged Rzaha - "Your pitiful Jaddan have suffered tonight, let there be more if you would dare refuse me."

Sometime after the fighting everyone moved to the Jaddan arch, which had been collapsed in and blocked off by rubble. Some people felt something in the room, but I/Seth only got a message about discomfort when thinking or some such. Soon Vhelged showed up and played around for a while taunting people, making usual "Where the altar?" "You don't have the altar, you're useless to me" remarks and then the fight began. There was like 10 people attacking Vhelged at once.

He flung everyone aside and we kept coming back, he burned Mellie to ashes and then resumed attacking, finally Seth died. Got revived. Then the attack on Vhelged resumed til finally he summoned in like 10 shadow spawn and than poofed.

Once *those* spawn were dispatched, everyone spent a while talking before we began the Neutral Altar/Temple/Holy Area Race. Which ended in not finding it.

Overlooking the beautiful gardens to the east and west, this large circular balcony surrounded by short ivy-covered walls offers a magnificent view of the surrounding city. Serving as a popular purlieu on sunny afternoons and weekends, civilians gather and enjoy the refreshing treats offered at a small vending cart in the platform's center. Set into the short wall surrounding the balcony is a recessed staircase with several faintly flickering gas lamps lighting the way down.

As you take note of your surroundings, you discover that the air has the aroma of freshly brewed coffee.

You also see (Holowas Reho), (a sparkling counter with some stuff on it), a gigantic trash can, a short wall, a recessed stone staircase set into the wall, a spherical holo-vision projector attached to the wall, (the marble base of the fountain), an elevator door, a silver streetlamp, a sparkling fountain with a marble base, a bright yellow pavilion with a waving pennant, a titanium donation bin, a large shiny brass bell hanging from a lamppost, (a low-profile surveillance camera), a dismal ice sculpture of a borkin and a simple air drone.

You push the stock of your sniper rifle up against your shoulder and stare through your sniper scope unblinkingly as you aim at Vaelr Weston. A royal blue light appears on his left leg as you aim at him.

Liv Kza says, "No."

Aisha Ola says, "Oh no.."

Vaelr Weston snarls, "You self-righteous goodies are going to result in the end of this ungrateful city before it can be saved."

You turn to Vaelr Weston and exclaim, "You again!"

Vaei Seiei blinks.

Nyx Cyntra says, "Do not even think of..."

Liv Kza steps in front of Aisha Ola.

Nyx Cyntra says, "Vaelr."

Liv Kza dramatically brandishes a macabre scythe with a long glinting blade.

Vaei Seiei stares at Vaelr Weston.

Vaelr Weston grabs Nyx Cyntra by the throat with his left hand and Aisha Ola with his right, throwing them with all of his might through the wall of the pavilion, leaving a large tear in the yellow fabric.

Vaei Seiei gasps.

Cadoc Otori begins to aim a shot at Vaelr Weston.

Nyx Cyntra screams at Vaelr Weston!

Aisha Ola exclaims, "Argh!"

Inside the bright yellow pavilion are a number of white wooden folding chairs for people to sit on. They are aligned in three groups all designed to face a raised platform at the front of the pavilion which overlooks the southern half of the city and the grasslands beyond. Sitting just in front of the platform is a raffle barrel and beside that a small table of refreshments. Standing beside the official entryway, a colorful balloon arch, is a white message board. Off to one side lie some zig-zagging wooden steps that lead upwards to some sort of overhead room.

You also see a large white message board with a gold parchement embossed with the Trooper insignia on it, a white wooden folding chair, (a wooden platform), an automated lottery ticket dispenser and a short marble pedestal encircled by a dried sirolei ivy vine.

She is not holding anything.
She is wearing a white silk shirt with turtle buttons, a soft green backpack trimmed with green turtle charms, a flared denim skirt with ailferton rivets, a pair of black boots, and a green wristwatch communicator.

You see Hand of Fate Nyx Cyntra, an Eolai Shield Maiden.
She has silver eyes and a light bronze complexion.
She has waist-length flowing silver hair.
She has a noble face.
She has a slender build.
She stands about 5' 6" tall, and seems to be very young for an Eolai.
She appears to be feeling grim.

She is holding a shining longsword with an hourglass shaped silver hilt in her right hand and nothing in the left.

You turn to Nyx Cyntra and ask, "He wouldn't um...Of been drawn by an evil aura, would he of?"

Shareen Soshade peers quizzically at Aisha Ola.

Nyx Cyntra says, "He knows that. If had reason to believe that you've gotten farther than he has."

Aisha Ola says, "I think my thoughts drew him."

Cadoc Otori says, "It may have been me. I was covered in Vaelr's bugs."

Nyx Cyntra looks at Aisha Ola and sighs.

Aisha Ola says, "He knows I'm looking."

Nyx Cyntra turns to you and says, "No."

Aisha Ola says, "He is strong, that one."

Nyx Cyntra shakes her head.

Liv Kza says, "I do not think it is safe here."

Liv Kza frowns.

Aisha Ola says, "Its not safe anywhere."

Jade Venra asks, "Do you know if this vaelr is in league at all with a man by the name of vhelged?"

Liv Kza sighs heavily.

Nyx Cyntra says, "He will do anything necessary to get what he wants. I have warned you all in the past, I see it's done no good."

Cadoc Otori asks, "Do you know anything of a Neutral Place?"

Nyx Cyntra gestures carelessly, watching as her thoughts turn to words burned onto the shaft of her arrow.

Nyx Cyntra smoothly loads her bow and shoots her arrow off into the sky, a faint whistle floating on the air as it disappears into the clouds.

Aisha Ola says, "Larasha's will is mine."

Vaei Seiei peers quizzically at Nyx Cyntra.

Shareen Soshade says, "Yes and Nyx serves Vara."

Nyx Cyntra says, "As Vara's is mine. We shall see."

Nyx Cyntra nods to Aisha Ola.

Shareen Soshade exclaims, "But wait!"

Cadoc Otori says, "Well then Aisha and Nyx may I ask something of you..."

Aisha Ola says, "My dreams brought me here."

Aisha Ola says, "I had no free will in it."

Vaei Seiei says, "Like Father, he was drawn away against his will."

Nyx Cyntra glances at Cadoc Otori.

Nyx Cyntra says, "You can ask."

Vaei Seiei says, "To a dream."

Cadoc Otori asks, "Do either of you know of a neutral holy place does this mean anything to you?"

Vaei Seiei nods to Aisha Ola.

Aisha Ola ponders.

Inside the bright yellow pavilion are a number of white wooden folding chairs for people to sit on. They are aligned in three groups all designed to face a raised platform at the front of the pavilion which overlooks the southern half of the city and the grasslands beyond. Sitting just in front of the platform is a raffle barrel and beside that a small table of refreshments. Standing beside the official entryway, a colorful balloon arch, is a white message board. Off to one side lie some zig-zagging wooden steps that lead upwards to some sort of overhead room.

You also see a large white message board with a gold parchement embossed with the Trooper insignia on it, a white wooden folding chair, (some zig-zagging wooden steps), an automated lottery ticket dispenser and a short marble pedestal encircled by a dried sirolei ivy vine.

A waeshei stone suddenly appears!

This started with Vaelr attacking Cadoc in the park with the insect swarm, but there was so much running around looking for something that wasn't there anymore that I decided to start the log at the point where Aisha entered the picture.

Also, the reason why that stone suddenly appearing was highlighted:

ok, figured out that this damn altar eats freds. we put about 12-15 on it, and only got two responses.
