Frontends

6am in the morning and I decided to get curious what other front ends people use, and how they set them up.

I use the Wizard and my setup:

I just wish the arrival/departure window worked.

Fullscreen because I'm hardcore.

It's actually not fullscreen, but the window is stretched out to be. That's because the Wizard doesn't like my tv tuner when in that mode for some reason. Oh well.

How'd you get the portals to highlight? Is that something you added yourself to text strings, or is that a setting I haven't found yet?

I use two front ends, one for GM work (MUSHclient) and one for play or Wizard testing (duh, the Wizard).

as for front ends, i like atlantis but it breaks HR in odd ways (like not working at all if i turn on ANSI colors). i use hydramud, but it's not available anywhere anymore. i still lament that Simu's Avalon isn't capable of being used on non-Simu games, since it (with YASSE) is by far the best front end ever for OS X.

oh dang, I didn't know there was already an image with Haelrahv and the moons. I was just going through my .psd folder and realized I never finished doing that a few months back (exams! ). I should probably get the image pack and open up the image window. hmm.

Also, I like that there's a Z axis for room locations. Air travel, here we come!

I use zMud. And not just any copy of zMud, but v4.62 -- the one I registered back in 1997. I've hated every updated version since then.

I guess mine takes up about 1/4 of my screen. The tiny window in the top right is thoughts/comms, which I usually never look at, but I have it open just in case I want to.

Oh, and I use mudwalker on osx, but it's really dull looking so I'm not going to even bother with it.
