The items which don't forage in units...still forage in units if you get the random 'extra' one.
Code: |
>forage clover
>
You forage around a bit and find a three-leaf clover.
You now have 6 units of clover.
Roundtime: 15 sec.
>
An eosheai scurries in.
>l clov
You see nothing special.
>separate 1 from clover
You can't separate that. |
Getting an 'extra' one still doesn't help us shave time off foraging, as we still get full RT for the final forage - regardless of whether it is 5+ units or 1 unit. IMO, that last RT should be shortened based on how many units you get, in order for it to actually help cut down overall RT for those who get the extra one. Sample below has all [12] failure rolls removed.
Code: |
>forage arg fruit
You forage around a bit and find an argurat fruit.
You now have 6 units of fruit.
Roundtime: 18 sec.
>forage arg fruit
You forage around a bit and find an argurat fruit.
You now have 12 units of fruit.
Roundtime: 15 sec.
>forage arg fruit
You forage around a bit and find an argurat fruit.
You now have 19 units of fruit.
Roundtime: 15 sec.
>forage arg fruit
You forage around a bit and find an argurat fruit.
You now have 25 units of fruit.
Roundtime: 15 sec.
>forage arg fruit
You forage around a bit and find an argurat fruit.
You now have 31 units of fruit.
Roundtime: 15 sec.
>forage arg fruit
You forage around a bit and find an argurat fruit.
You now have 37 units of fruit.
Roundtime: 15 sec.
>forage arg fruit
You forage around a bit and find an argurat fruit.
You now have 43 units of fruit.
Roundtime: 15 sec.
>forage arg fruit
You forage around a bit and find an argurat fruit.
You now have 49 units of fruit.
Roundtime: 15 sec.
>forage arg fruit
You forage around a bit and find an argurat fruit.
You now have a full bundle of fruit.
Roundtime: 15 sec. |
Also...if you'll notice above...my first forage is always more RT than the others.
And...clay sometimes gives me 27 RT to forage [no 'units' on this] ...is this right? _________________

I once dealt with a situation where my Tracker could forage 2-3 arugurat fruits and sirolei ivies with a 15 sec RT but he foraged gems and stones as 2 at a time and always an 18 sec RT. I was told there were a lot of factors that went into the foraging (including apparently a lot more than my skill level in foraging) and that's why the higher RTs on the other things. _________________ End of line.
