Here's a little more info on the gods, an IG book should be released soon and will probably hold additional info, so check that out too if you're interested Smile

Alteri Pantheon:

Major Gods:
Larasha – (G) Goddess of birth and motherhood.

Even though the Great Mother is responsible for the creation of the planet, Larasha appears only rarely in Alterian mythology. She guards the void, which holds all the knowledge of the universe, both from those who may misuse its power and from those who may use it as a gateway to Haelrahv, as Yeii did. Larasha takes cover within the heavens, watching and only appearing when there is a great need. Her priests often try to enter the void through mediation so they may receive her wisdom, sometimes even using hypnotic suggestion or drug-induced traces to invoke her.

Lesser Gods:
Yaireiro – (G) Goddess of leadership and benevolence

As her symbol of the crown suggests, Yaireiro was a queen, ruler of the deep seas. Even though she was quite a whimsical being, she was also quite generous, filling the oceans with numerous creations. Her ultimate gift, however, happened only thorough her own demise when the Alteri were formed from her dying body. Although an important goddess, not many worship Yaireiro outside of the festival given in her honor each year instead choosing to worship her daughters, the Loshei.

Veclav – (G) God of justice and righteousness.

Father of the Loshei, Veclav transformed himself into a being of extreme heat during his great battle with Yeii, ascending into the heavens as the sun and trapping Yeii in an eternal struggle for the safety of the planet. Although Veclav does not have a temple dedicated specifically to him, individuals worship him through the creation of laws, both moral and societal. His efforts to defeat Yeii embody the ideal of justice and the matriarch of Seihao Xa, as well as many of the cities houses, look to his priests for guidance in matters of morality.

Yeii – (E) God of war and famine.

Yeii insatiably craves the chaos and deprivation that war brings. Sensing the state of the planet, he was drawn to Haelrahv during the dark period when Veclav ceased his chase of the sun to be with Yaireiro. Yeii took advantage of this period to inflict even more havoc on the planet’s surface. Eventually, Veclav drove Yeii into the heavens, where they are locked in a never-ending battle for control of the planet. Worshippers of Yeii tend to bring out the strife in whatever situations they are involved in, for they believe that Yeii will gain strength from their actions and eventually be able to break free from Veclav’s hold.

Minor Gods:
The Loshei, nine daughters of Yaireiro and Veclav, are minor goddesses that are usually worshipped as a group although some pray to them individually to grant small requests. They appear as young women with pale sea-glass skin and an enigmatic beauty. Numerous shrines have been built to them on the island named in their honor.

Sala’Reixavi (N) Goddess of tradition and family.

She is the eldest of the Loshei and gifted the Alteri with history and loyalty to their people. This pride eventually lead to a schism between the Loshei and when seven of her sisters went to the surface, Sala’Reixavi remained underwater along with what she deems the “true” Alterian race.

Sala’Reilvo (G) Goddess of peace and sacrifice

She is the second eldest of the nine and she is responsible for creating the schism, which drove her sisters topside. Thus, Sala’Reilvo also remained behind when the others went to the surface. She gifted her people with compassion but along with it came the ability to feel sorrow and pain.

Sala’Reivaa (N) Goddess of the magical and mental arts.

A scholar at heart, Sala’Reivaa believed that the most important gift she could give her people would be knowledge, so she transferred some of her own consciousness into the minds of the Alteri, creating their desire for wisdom. This gift also endowed them with their telepathic abilities.

Sala’Rexi (N) Goddess of mystery and miracles.

Pampered by her sisters because of her “malady”, she is wise beyond her years and has the ability to see visions. She is often swept up by these visions, making her appear insane to those around her. She gave the Alteri the gift of dream, although a bit of her “malady” also crept into their dreams as well.

Sala’Rihi (G) Goddess of afterlife and rebirth.

Being blind at birth Sala’Rihi was never able to observe the world around her; she was only able to view the world beyond. Her role is one of a guide as she leads the dead to her envisioned paradise. She gifted the Alteri with a sense of destiny and inspire them to leave behind a piece of themselves before they die, for which they will always be remembered.

Sala’Rihoe (N) Goddess of death and truth.

Quiet and the most reclusive of the Loshei, Sala’Rihoe is also very inquisitive. Thus, she gave the Alteri the gift of curiosity and the quest for truth, explaining their inquisitive nature. She is also responsible for knowing when it is time for each Alteri to meet her sister in the afterlife and sending them to her.

Sala’Risheisasa (N) Goddess of chaos and fortune.

She was a madcap girl, always looking for a new game to play or getting in trouble. She often toyed with her people through jokes or tricks. She gifted the Alteri with her spontaneity, but that impulsive nature also brought them recklessness.

Sala’Rivei (G) Goddess of courage and honor.

SalaRivei was born a middle child and thus endured much torment at hands of her siblings. Because of this, she carries two short blades at her sides, ready for any danger. Her gift to the Alteri is determination and perseverance, but unfortunately from these gifts was also born obsession and revenge.

Sala’Ros (G) Goddess of love and passion.

Sala’Ros is the youngest of the Loshei and like her mother possesses a voice of magnificent quality. Alteri with beautiful voices are thought to be blessed by her and her songs can ignite passion or inspire love. She gifted the Alteri with desire, but with it also came the ability to feel jealousy.

Eolai Pantheon:

Major Gods:

Ateon, (G) God of nature and purity.

Originally from the eastern lands, Ateon always served as the protector of Haelrahv, spreading the seeds of life and hope across the lands while battling Ilafai and his evil minions. Although he eventually lost in battle to Ilafai, Ateon used the last of his strength to pour his essence into the earth, melding his spirit with the planet. From this spot sprouted the mightiest of trees, the Eolfaelsh, also know as the Father Tree. This tree bound all of Haelrahv together and transformed it from a gray dying planet to one that was lush and green. Ateon typically is worshipped in the guise of the Father Tree in sacred groves. Many of these groves contain saifbraelsh trees, as they are associated with him. Some choose to revere him as the Light Warrior, depicted as an Eolai man with bronze skin and golden hair carrying a sword of light or an open palm filled with seeds.

Aroai (G) Goddess of charm and beauty

Also from the East, Aroai is one of the Aiba or elder gods. Mother to the Eolai people, her beauty was unsurpassed and her voice was melodious. Along with Ekoe and Oshib, Aroai received the final gift of Ateon, an Eofaelsh seed, which empowered her to fight against Ilafai. In this battle, she ascended to the heavens, sacrificing her beauty and her freedom to hold the Dark One along with her in the sky, protecting the world from his wrath. The beautiful elan rose is her symbol and many of her worshippers cultivate large gardens of these flowers. Aroai is also patron of the arts, as long as the subject is pleasing to the eye; she does not favor the darker pieces. She is often depicted as a stunningly beautiful Eolai woman with long blue-black hair shrouding half of her face. Temples to Aroai are erected wherever beauty can be found, be it in the center of town or in the countryside, and they are often are filled with extravagant goods.

Lli (N) God of dreams and twilight.

Lli rules the hours between night and day, which is a mystical time for the Eolai. He is most powerful at twilight or during eclipses and storms where natural light is lessened. Lli holds control over the space between things, such as where the wave meets the shore. This is where the dream world lies and it is in these places that Lli can pull you into the dream. In the center of the dream world lies the water of memory and it is here that Lli sometimes grants his followers visions of their past lives. It is due to these waters of memory that he is associated with the crashing waves. Lli’s form is ever changing, shifting like the dreams themselves, except for the one constant in his appearance - his storm gray eyes.

Ilafai (E) God of the undead and torment

Ilafai is also called the “Shadow Master” or the “Dark One”. Along with his minions the Ka’fel, huge twisted creatures of shadow and hatred, Ilafai sought to control Haelrahv and sink it into perpetual darkness. He was eventually defeated and sent to the heavens in the form of the red moon, which is held in check by Aroai. It is believed that one day Aroai’s celestial form will crack in two and Ilafai will descend to retake the planet. Ilafai typically takes the form of one of his Ka’fel, although he occasionally is portrayed as an Eolai male with deathly pale skin, sharp jagged features, and both hair and eyes that are blacker than the deepest shadow. Shrines to Ilafai inhabit the deep places of the world, where no light reaches them. It is said that his followers also develop sensitivity to light and the highest priests among them cannot tolerate any light of day.

Ekoe (G) God of protection and strength.

Ekoe came from the cold north and is a strong and commanding figure. According to Eolai mythology, he is the father of the Jaddan people and strongest of the Aiba. Ekoe also has control over stone and earth, and when the land shakes it is said that he is battling the Ka’fel in their underground hideouts. Ekoe is often depicted as a tall, extremely muscular Eolai man with frost white hair and piercing blue eyes draped in furs.

Oshib (G) God of wisdom and knowledge.

Hailing from the south seas, Oshib is very clever and calculating man who rules over the waters and its creatures. According to the Eolai, he is also the father of the Alteri peoples. The followers of Oshib protect wisdom and knowledge above all else, for they believe that only research and insight of the unknown can fulfill your soul and allow you to achieve greatness. Oshib is often depicted as a thin, wiry Eolai dressed in colorful clothing.

Jaddan Pantheon:

Major Gods:

Na’vago (G) God of cultivation and growth.

Na’vago, together with his clan the Harova, nurtured the lands, carving out the world for the future generations to enjoy. But these deeds were only to be unraveled by Ilav and his tribe. Eventually Na’vago shed his form of stone and ice and became a being of pure white light in able to destroy Ilav and his followers. Today Na’vago still nurtures Haelrahv in his guise as the sun, casting warmth and light upon the planet so that it may continue to grow. Temples to Na’vago, if not completely outdoors, have an area open to the sky that allows the light to shine in. They also typically contain a garden area, which can be as little as cultivating a few plants or as large as an elaborate landscape. Most of Na’vago’s worshippers believe that Ilav will never return as long as long as the sky binds him. Thus, meteor storms or other strong activity in the heavens worries them. A disappearing star is the most worrisome, for that is a sign that Ilav has regained some of his power. It is said that Na’vago, along with Rukkav and Vara, will return to battle Ilav should he ever resurface.

Ilav (E) God of evil and destruction.

As Na’vago worked to create a better world for the elder races, Ilav strove to destroy it through his manipulation of the Kadujar, a race of ice giants, and ice drakes. Selfish and unrelenting in his quest for power, Ilav was finally defeated and his shattered body now hangs as the stars in the sky, serving as a reminder of to the Jadda of his evil. Ilav’s worshippers tend to gather in ruined and crumbling buildings, giving respect to the god’s anarchic tendencies. They have long been tracking the signs of Ilav’s return through astronomical events and feel that it will not be long until their chaotic master again inhabits this world. When he returns it is believed that he will be an even more powerful manifestation of his previous self and will battle Na’vago again for the planet. Rukkav and Vara are not mentioned for they are believed insignificant by the followers of Ilav.

Lesser Gods:

Rukkav (N) God of transformation and empowerment and Vara (N) God of destiny and fate.

Not much is known about Rukkav and Vara, and their place in the Jaddan history is obscure. They were twin brothers and the most powerful of the Harova. It was said that Vara had the ability to read the stars and tell people their fortune. Along with this gift, he also had the ability to write in the stars, changing the fate that was foretold. Rukkav was said to be the largest of the Harova and inspired great fear in his enemies and great courage in his allies. Unlike the remaining Haduroch who changed into Jaddan males after Ilav’s defeat, Rukkav and Vara stayed in their godly forms and ascended to the heavens, taking their place next to Na’vago as the red moon and blue moon, respectively. Similar to Na’vago, shrines to the twin gods are open to the air, allowing access to the light of the moons. Today, the birth of twins is rare and is seen as both a curse and a blessing, for usually the twins are destined to change the course of tradition and history.

Darju Pantheon:

Major Gods:
Gemrem (N) God of foolishness and insanity

Before his decent into madness, Gemrem was a mighty warrior and king. He created the Darju and their home world Vkeftku, and inspired his creations to become powerful combatants. He eventually fell to the charms of Nkati and relinquished control of his world to her dark desires. From their union came four children, who in time became lesser gods: Rugnol, Mlogltu, Lvordu and Rihdtu.

Nkati (E) Goddess of treachery and deceit

During the time of the clans, violence and betrayal overwhelmed the planet of Vkeftu. This savagery awakened Nkati and she soon took dominion of the planet from Gemrem, becoming the “Queen Goddess” and turning it into a slave planet and forcing the Darju to succumb to her every whim.

Lesser Gods:
These four are constantly striving to out-do each other in their torment and suppression for the Darju people.

Rugnol (E) God of fear and nightmares

Originally humanoid in appearance, Rugnol feeds off the fear of others. Over the ages he has learned to enter dreams and shifted his appearance into a six-legged beast in order to more effectively terrorize his victims. When the Darju first encountered the eteoch, they were reminded of Rugnol’s ferocity and the nightmares where he feed on their flesh, thus he is associated with that beast today.

Mlogltu (E) God of greed and selfish desire

A tactical genius, Mlogltu was once a superb commander who gained both fear and respect from his subordinates. His prowess in battle soon turned to selfish desire, and he forced the Darju to erect massive monuments to him in order to appease his ego.

Lvordu (E) God of hopelessness and despair

A creature born of shadows, Lvordu delights in crushing the hopes and desires of mortals. His form is constantly shifting; allowing him to become whatever causes the most anguish in the heart of his victim. He also finds pleasure in tormenting his brothers and sister by destroying their elaborate plans for Darju domination.

Rihdtu (E) Goddess of torture and pain

Also known as “The Dark Daughter”, Rihdtu is the youngest of her siblings and possesses the most evil mind of them all. She relishes in bringing plague and famine to her subjects, as well as watching her victims die from slow working poisons. Her presence has definitely been felt on Haelrahv, for when she arrived she created the creatures known as mamujuk to torment the planet’s inhabitants.
