Which is why I think everyone's OOC contact information should be easily accessible so players can IM/Email eachother with a "WTF ARE YOU DOING YOU BITCH!??" "Oh, sorry, that's just my character. Cup of tea?"

Well, in that spirit...its easier said than done. But it would be good if people left contact information in their messageboard profiles. And a lot of people have account names that resemble their character names, so this is good also. You know, spontaneous roleplay is WONDERFUL. I love it, I live for it...but even spontaneous roleplay needs some OOC communication. So I encourage people to get to know each other outside their player. We need monthly meet and greets in the OOC area, or something.

it would be cool if there was an WHO verb or something that would let you look up a character's profile from an OOC standpoint

What I'd like to see is said verb pull up the information from your MB profile. Or take you to it, but that would require a better client than we currently have.

That's what I was wondering. I mean - we do have something called a Profile here, but it doesn't really give us space to do any in-depth character information. Actually the only place to put anything is in the signature textbox, and I'd rather use that for a signature.

I dunno, there's a difference between an everyday, everyone knows them character giving out their contact information, and then there's the new, "I don't want to know that I'm actually So And So" characters who you really don't want to have to make a completely new email or use a different one you won't remember months to come just to cover it up.
That, by the way, was one sentance.

Some muxes have that finger verb to give you a complete rundown of the character if you so chose. Me, personally, wouldn't want Kit's entire life story on a profile...that sorta stuff is for people that get to know him and get it out of him. But basic, random stuff would be okay. And player contact information would be good too.
I definately use the character name + HR method for aim...and linking screen names is useful so you can seperate games/buddies and real-life-buddies. Or different characters.
