Morrigan, when those places come out, will you only be able to visit if you're of that race? If not, I can see the other places becoming much like Llanfair...if everyone mingles anyhow, it won't matter what the society is suppose to be like.

Esia is an Eolai area, and yes...everyone will be able to gain entrance, but there are areas that only Eolai will be allowed into. As far as mules go...I don't consider a well-developed character to be a mule, and most mules don't get into level 10, 20, or 30 restricted places. Its possible that there will be RP areas like this, its possible that there will be shops like this, its possible that there will be hunting areas like this.

And as always, its possible that people who abuse having more than one character will be penalized.

I consider abuse of multiple accounts and/or characters...and this is only my opinion...to be using them to gain things merely to have things. Like if someone had used a Performer mule to gain access to a performer-only tent, then gone out and re-distributed the goods inside. Or if someone creates an Eolai character to visit the deepest parts of Esia, not for the game play experience, or the role playing possibilities, but to shop at an Eolai only shop that sells high class weapons then take those weapons and re-distribute them.

I'd like to think most people aren't like this, because I don't think most people are. But this is one of my, and a lot of staff memebrs pet peeves....especially when things we create in limited quantities get hoarded...and then no one really uses them because one person has them all. So I'd hate to see an area I made go to waste because people only when there to use the advantages for their other characters.

Well, you can also violate the "spirit" of the game...where you cross that line that shouldn't be crossed. Where it just takes away from the experience for someone else...can I define "spirit" here? Nah. But I'll paraphrase from a ruling by the surpreme court that says they can't clearly define pornography, but we all know it when we see it. So by that, we all know when the spirirt of fun has been violated. Even if we can't clearly define it.

Chances are, if you're worried about violating the spirit of fun...you're doing just fine and you won't do so. But if you're worried more about proving that you haven't done so...then chances are you violate this spirit quite regularly.

This is one of those things that bothers me the most too...when players put too much of RL into a game...things that happen IC are not necessarily things that reflect RL. While the best characters reflect something of the person playing them, they're by no means the actual person. Sometimes, its nice to send a friendly OOC whisper someone's way and just say "Hey, my character is a bitch, but its by no means the way *I* am. Its RP, so please play along and don't be offended."

As always, I remind you that IC actions should have IC consequences, not OOC ones.
