If people have two or three different characters just to make money, why not let them? I see no issue with that. Some creation systems, unlike potions, require an advanced character to truly benefit from. Techs, at level 15, can make perfect gadgets. It's not exactly *easy* to make 15th, but it's more than I'm sure most will put into a character just to sell things. Spread this across different creation systems and you've got people putting a lot of time and energy into different characters just to make money down the line. Again, I see no issue with that.
So...what would you suggest? _________________ Why use logic when you can just...make stuff up? |

did i say to stop them?
all i said is that the system is possibly trying to handle too many potions too fast because a good share of alchemists tend to have other characters they own foraging.
if it takes (in theory, i know this isn't exact) 5 minutes per compotent and the player has two alts plus the main getting the stuff, then the potion materials are coming in three times as fast. so if the market is going "well, with the number of players we have now, this is a good crash rate because that is the number of options that would be made per hour(s)," and the playerbase is producing them too fast for whatever reason, then the market is going to be bonkers.
along with that, if the market is coded to handle the fact that people use alts with the main to forage/mine faster, then those that don't use those also get penalties because they're lagging in what they should be accomplishing. _________________ A bright-eyed Thekko Ku Kalla dressed in a dapper sailor suit takes to flight and careers through the air toward the Modan Kucho and slams into him!

Well that kind of fueled my point, you see. Yes, people do that for alchemy. Can you forage up parts for gadgets? There is NO shortage there, but a skilled tech is needed to actually put them together. And the better quality the part from the start, the better quality the gadget at the finish. How does tailoring work? I'm sure it's similar. Alchemy is the easy way out right now because NOTHING else pays NEARLY as much. Hence: my suggestion. _________________ Why use logic when you can just...make stuff up? |

Yeah, it is addictive. My times really stink, but I enjoy seeing how many properties I can own at one time. _________________ Mickey Brunner

I crashed it by buying ALL the lots, so it had no where to pop a new one. The app freaked out and froze. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato
