The sole purpose of this thread is to share your favorite holiday recipe. Here is mine:

Suzie's Old Fashioned Bread Pudding

Code:
Ingredients:
6 large eggs
1 cup milk
1 pint heavy cream
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup (loose) brown sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp nutmeg
6 cups (or one loaf) of 1-2 day old (preferably baguette) bread, cubed
1.5 oz raisins (or one small individual-size box of raisins)
Vanilla ice cream - optional

NOTE: Let the bread sit out for half the time on one side and half the time on the other so it is very dry on the whole outside and slightly dry on the inside, cube it just before usage.

Generously butter an 10x10 inch baking pan and set aside.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk the eggs thoroughly. Pour in the milk,
vanilla extract and brown sugar and continue whisking. Lastly, fold in
the heavy cream, cinnamon and nutmeg and whisk until all cinnamon is
'wet'. Fold in the bread, using a spoon to push the bread down under
the mixture and spoon more mixture on top.

Every 10 minutes for the next 40 minutes, repeat the spooning and
pushing procedure with the spoon.

Preheat oven to 350 °F. Stir in raisins just prior to pouring the
mixture into the prepared pan. Cover with buttered foil and bake 25
minutes. Remove foil and continue baking until the pudding is firm and
golden (about 35 minutes). Cool pudding about 20 minutes until just
'warm', then serve.

Optional: Serve each dish with a dollop if vanilla ice cream.

Prep Time: 40 minutes
Yield: 10-12 servings

I love cheesecake...especially at the holidays so here's my favorite recipie that the family nags me to make every year.

Peppermint Cheesecake

Code:

1 c Chocolate Wafer Crumbs
3 T Margarine, Melted
1  Envelope of Unflavored Gelatin
1/4 c Cold Water
16 oz SOFT Philly Cream Cheese
1/2 c Sugar
1/2 c Milk
1/4 c Crushed Peppermint Candy
1 c Whipping Cream, Whipped
3 oz Milk Chocolate Candy (Milk chocolate should be milk chocolate candy bars and they should be finely chopped)

Combine crumbs and margarine; press onto bottom of 9-inch springform pan. Bake at 350 degrees, 10 minutes. Put it aside to cool off a bit. Soften the gelatin in water then stir over low heat until dissolved. Combine the cream cheese and sugar, mixing until well blended. Gradually add gelatin, milk and peppermint candy, mixing until blended, chill until slightly thickened but not set. Fold in the whipped cream and chocolate. Pour over crust and then let it chill until firm. You can top it once its firm with more whipped cream combined with crushed peppermint candies. I usually put a couple of candy canes on the top to decorate as well.

Those both sound awesome.
