so cardiostimulators can give shock attacks now, and that rocks.
maybe regenerators can be used to purposefully mutate someone as well? i know that there's an augmentation system in the works, but this is more a temporary body change thing that can go on.
say a medic uses the regenerator on your (fleshy!) arm in a negative way. maybe you end up weaker for a short amount of time. atrophied feet and legs can decrease agility, while two fingered hands ruin coordination.
attacks on the eyes can damage retinas, causing blindness and/or perception penalties, and an oversized head can somehow ruin balance or some mental stats.

I think this would be cool, but there would need to be some sort of limit, or resistance.. because otherwise someone like me isnt even going to bother looking for a medic anymore, and just going to ebo. |

One of the in-works (soon?, sorry, been delayed by festiness, homes, etc.) mods for regenerators is allowing higher level Medics to purposefully do temporary mutations.
Actual permanent mutations is something planned much farther down the road and will be limited to the highest level Medics only. _________________ Counselor Faith Tempest

Will there be a way to avoid it, resist it, get it healed, or just plain not allow it (such as an avoid added to avoid medic's help)? |

The way to prevent it is to leave the room. _________________ An eye for an eye; but my eye's worth more.

No, no, no, yes but only permanent mutations. You already run the risk of temporary mutations simply by being healed (by lower level Medics), I'm not going to spend time that can better be spent elsewhere putting in an avoid for something which poses no danger to you. _________________ Counselor Faith Tempest

it's an attack. you dodge it.
and i don't see why you'd avoid all medics unless you think you're going to actively be attacked by them. and if you tihnk people just want to randomly attack, then what keeps you from not thinking you'll be shot by everyone anyway. _________________ A bright-eyed Thekko Ku Kalla dressed in a dapper sailor suit takes to flight and careers through the air toward the Modan Kucho and slams into him!

Just so you know, any high level Medic with the appropriate skills (exotic) and stats trained could probably take you out with one zap of their cardiostimulator. Just because we -can- do it doesn't mean we will. You are in no more danger from some rogue Medic than you are from some rogue <insert any profession here> shooting you in the back. And probably less so, considering how few high level Medics there are. _________________

Is it considered a ranged attack or do they need to be at melee to zap someone?
EDIT:
Code: |
Ferociously as a cornered eteoch, Riwa Voei discharges a flawless handheld cardiostimulator crafted from pure silver-flecked black halxna at Dixie Pierce. Somehow, Dixie Pierce parries the attack barely avoiding disaster. |
How can you parry an electrical discharge? With bare hands no less heh. I think this attack should count as 'ranged' and a projectile in that it cannot be parried and only evaded. _________________ It is better to be pissed off than pissed on. |
