It would be awesome if we could tame wild critters (specifically animal types, like hushoguj and olaetai) and then have our own companions. Animal lore!
Dzynna would get a vacori or maybe a kashaga.
Just don't make them like pets are. The constant gnawing on stuff, sniffing the air and an animal that is too dumb and/or non-predatory to fend for itself food-wise is so not what I'm interested in.
I mean, I could understand feeding and taking care of a baby kashaga, but once it is grown? It should be smart and strong enough to take down a lesser animal easily and feed itself. _________________

From the performer folders:

I've got two Performer abilities already in planning. Actually, I just need to code them... but I've got a lot of other stuff on top of my list. And both are high level (at least 50 or 60th level for the lower one).
Charm is a good idea, but it would actually overlap my intent for eventually expanding what a Tracker can do after they calm a critter. </foreshadow>
Edit: Er, three. But the third's not all that high-level.

Is Calming critters supposed to give animal handling in Nskills? I tried asapi and eosh's, bucks and does and I'm not seeing any difference in animal handling.
Am I doing something not quite right? _________________ All explorers are seeking something they have lost. It is seldom they find it, and more seldom still that the attainment brings them greater happiness than the quest. |

i think only feeding pets is set up to teach AH. they may have never plugged calm in to teaching nskills yet.
it's also possible you're just too good at calming to learn nskills. i noticed my low level characters learn nskills a ton better than Yaru. _________________ A bright-eyed Thekko Ku Kalla dressed in a dapper sailor suit takes to flight and careers through the air toward the Modan Kucho and slams into him!
