I saw that coming. The only reason techs can't already is because I don't know jack about how gadgets are set up. I'm going to be discussing it with Drake.

I've not been suggesting tech stuff because I know Drake has loads planned and he's still trying to recover his computer. To be honest, I'd rather build a machine to crush gems for you rather than fuse them. Really, these won't be widely needed or wanted by people. I just buy any and all technology. Including medical gear and an organiser...just wait til I get a home for Kit's electronics collection!
Edit: Though, if we can make these, they'd probably resale for a nice bit of cash.

I sensed it earlier trying to see how to make it work...what sorta bonus does it give? And it's not easy to manage since you'd have to hold it to get the bonus.

It doesn't give a bonus. You (will?) need Arcane Artifact Use nskill to get bonuses from bonused items you already have.

and that has nothing to do with a thread about why techs should be able to make the devices.

what trevor meant was that the devices don't give a bonus, but they're important in creating crystals which is currently the only way to train arcane artifact usage.

Well. If up to me, which it isn't, I wouldn't waste time coding fusion devices as gadgets. There's cooler stuff.

You're missing the boat. Gadgets primarily take a long time to code because the device you build has to be coded too. In this case, the device already exists and so much less time would be required to add it. But hey, if you feel like Techs don't need anything else ...

No, I feel that making them isn't something really needed to a lot of people. Just to mages. At least with comms and flashlights, lots of people are interested. I'm not trying to say it's a bad idea... I'm just saying there's probably better things to do with your time. ^.^;
That, and I don't think the parts available would work as parts for a fusion device....which means coding new parts too...and then making them available for junk...and making manuals on how to repair that junk...and making schematics on crafting fusion devices...
It's not that I don't feel techs don't need anything else. I think your time should be spent on other things. Regenerators are already built too. And guns. Why not give us that stuff to build? (^.^ Just a suggestion!)
