| I only got to play alittle bit during the RP lastnight, when the hoodlums attacked. Coming from a very heavy heavy RP background, I was kinda dissappointed to see that there's alot of OOC happening. But I was happy to see the goings on lastnight. It's just too bad I'm rather new and my character isn't really known right now. |

And I believe that was an assassination Glimmer. A backstab would have hit you in well, the back.

Assassinations have a unique death message. I'll have to play around with Stilldawn some more to be certain, though.

And yes assasintate has an assasinate death message which I love about it. Thank you Trevor!
Backstab doesnt always actually land on the back I noticed, and kudos for whats his face because I have NEVER gotten an insta death using backstab on a PC, and seldomly get instant death using it on critters.

Heh I'm sure he's(the GMPC) effectively level 250 and has 700 bladed weapons and 700 stealth.

1. It was an assassinate, not a backstab.
2. Szetgtek doesn't have anywhere near that skill. As has been pointed out numerous times, he is NOT invincible. He is just really hard. As hard as any of the top-level people.
3. (From the Splat thread) The messaging calling Glim a "Loser." is part of the engagement system. It would have printed that messaging to anyone.
4. Just a reminder that the entire point this thread was started was to remind you all that you will have to accept the IC consequences and/or rewards of your actions when dealing with him. This is not only limited to retaliation in the case of attacks, there may be other consequences/rewards I'm not mentioning.

I think GMPNCs should be locateable, or GPS findable...
Why? We're suppose to treat them just like real characters. I can understand if they're hiding...Beast can't find hidden people...but if they're in the open, I shouldn't be getting a 'I don't know who you mean by "szet dg"' messaging.
Edit: THAT said, I understand it'd be a annoying for everyone to locate....since everyone but me seems to have that spell.

At the time that you tried to find Szet, he was hidden and en route to his destination. If you'd tried again 5 minutes later, you'd have witnessed a meeting between him and Rhef.

Actually, I kept trying every few minutes. If someone is hidden, Beast still goes to find them...I just get a messaging saying that the person is too well hidden. The message I got about 5 times was that there was no such person to find.
