I was just curious what the minimum wage was in other places. Here, it's 5.15/h. Tomorrow they are going to be doing a voting thing to raise it to $7.50 I'm going to be so happy if that happens. I know in Santa Fe, it's something like $9/h, but everything is crazy expensive there.

Code:
Quebec - Minimum wage increase

The minimum wage increased from $7.45 to $7.60, May 1, 2005. Similar increases have been granted to workers who earn gratuities (from $6.70 to $6.85).

$6.51 USD.

We passed a state amendment recently that raised Florida's minimum wage to $6.15 and it is indexed yearly against inflation rates thereafter.

It's $5.15/hr here. If I recall correctly, Georgia even has an extra piece of legislation on the books that prevents local governments from raising their county's/city's minimum wage.

Yeah, most of New Mexico I believe is 5.15, except for Santa Fe, and hopefully Albuquerque after tomorrow.

A quick google reports DC has a minimum wage of $6.60, raised from $6.15 in January, which it had been since 1997. January 2006 will see a rise to $7.00.

I think it's 5.25 in Philly...but I'm not sure. Last time I earned minimum wage was when I was in highschool...about seven years ago. It was 5.15 then.
