Just sharing... Out of three nearby towns only 2 gas stations are NOT out of gas at present and both are over 3.00 a gallon. The others are saying 3 weeks to a month before they get gas. It does tend to get a little scary although compared to the coast, I still have to say I'm lucky.

I ran into my first out-of-gas station yesterday..and it was a freaking 7-11.
On a good note, the station (Good ole Texaco) right down the street from us says they have plenty, but trying to navigate through their parking lot now is like I-75 during rush hour.

Are you referring to one of the 40-mile stretches that is always under construction, or some magical section of I-75 that hasn't seen construction in the past ten years? If the latter, I hate your convenience.

By the way, anyone in Georgia (all, what, two of us?) should be seeing a 15-cent drop in gas: AJC Article.

Quote:
The suspension, which will cost the state about $75 million, takes effect at midnight tonight and will run through the end of September. Lawmakers are being called back to Atlanta for a special session Tuesday to ratify Perdue's decision. Lawmakers will also consider increasing the mileage reimbursement for state workers, who now get 28 cents per mile.

It's 3.05 here in Philly.

I bought a 2005 Yamaha Virago Motorcycle at the end of winter for $3000. I love this thing more and more everyday. It's paying for itself in gas. Of course it helps that it NEVER rains in my part of Texas. $10 a week is all I spend in gas.

Gas station just down the road from us, as of yesterday, is at 3.29 a gallon for regular unleaded. Joy. Although it is better than having no gas at all. However it does mean that Mut, Me, and three kids cram into my Chevy Tracker rather than his Durango Shocked

wait, did you move? i suck at keeping track of things, heh.

and as of sunday i spent my travel expenses. $72 for unlimited transportation around NYC.

normally, one ride on a train or bus would cost $2, but I use my card so often that I'm really paying like $1 a ride. hell, i think i sometimes go as low as $0.75 a ride.

Gas is between 2.95 to 3.05 depending on where you go here. For the last month, I've just been taking the city bus to work and school, or getting rides with other people.

We suddenly fell to $2.78 today. I have no effing clue why, though. Needless to say, most of the stations were turning away customers after word got out.
