When and why were poisons downtweaked so obsenely?
It kinda defeats the purpose of the black vial if somone with absolutly no resistance can survive the most powerful poison made _________________ Mellie Amresh says, "Send someone with a bigger dick."

Uhm. Black vial has been tweaked at least.. I've noticed it. It does virtually so weak of damage I no longer have to worry about it. Don't think it's quite fair a brand new person can survive it either... or so I've heard/seen. Poisons were meant to be deadly yes? Then how can the strongest of poisons...be survived by anyone? _________________ "In view of the fact that God limited the intelligence of man, it seems unfair that he did not also limit his stupidity."

don't poisons decay in strength over time?

Poison traps on elite guard boxes can't even bring Tshar's health below 95%. _________________ It is better to be pissed off than pissed on. |

Poison strength may decay over time, but none-the-less should still HURT someone...rather than simply annoy em. Just seems poisons are getting weaker and weaker when really they're better when they're more dangerous _________________ "In view of the fact that God limited the intelligence of man, it seems unfair that he did not also limit his stupidity."

i think it's more that health levels were being changed around but poisons weren't. _________________ A bright-eyed Thekko Ku Kalla dressed in a dapper sailor suit takes to flight and careers through the air toward the Modan Kucho and slams into him!

Tell that to the newbie who survived Stilldawn's black vial _________________ "In view of the fact that God limited the intelligence of man, it seems unfair that he did not also limit his stupidity."

My guess is the same as Yaru's concerning the hit point change, but I also want to take the opportunity to correct what comes across to me as a misconception that the Black Vial should be a guaranteed death sentence for every victim -- simply, I doubt that was ever Trevor's intent with the introduction of the poison system. When you look at things proportionally, consider that the Black Vial takes significantly less skill to learn than the highest level potions; there's no good game-balance reason players should be toting multi-dose vials of the equivalent of the bubonic plague. _________________ Mickey Brunner

Well considering my black vial went from being able to kill myself when I applied it to doing virtually no damage to myself when I drink it. Yeah I think there is a problem.
Since my original post it has gotten a little bit better but is still very inaffective. Do I think it should be a guarenteed death sentence to anyone? no and I have never said that. Do I think it should kill somone with little to no resistance? Hell yes.
As far as learning levels to make them, I myself suggested the black vial to be learned at a higher level because it WAS so powerful

I'll check into this. There was no intentional change to poison strengths. Poisons are intended to be useful and very dangerous, but are not intended to trivialize other methods of injuring someone/something, either. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

FYI, I have been monitoring numbers on poison health drains and will soon compare these to health regen rates and decide what adjustments need to be made. I do want to repeat though, that I don't believe getting a poison in someone's system should be a definite death sentence. That simply cheapens combat, particularly PVP, way too much. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato
