My 18th agent was hunting borkin hunters...three level discrepency...well, he still finds loads of treasure...but...now nothing at all. Not even a noticeable twitch of the meter! Did something break or is that intended to happen?

Edit: On that note, Kuchos don't teach Kit anymore either. Though, lurkers are teaching him now where they hadn't before. I still miss kuchos. The treasure is so much better there.

i do feel rather bad for anyone in the 90s, mainly because they only have lurkers as an option for now, correct?

Well, nowbi champions at 80. And then a massive gap to 100....for a thekko wherever they are...and then elite guards at 105.

It's hard to hunt lurkers...you either have to triple train swimming, be level 100, or have those merchant swimming upgrades...

Hey Trevor...can you make Lurker treasure any better? Normal critters drop stuff that sell for up to 5k. All the lurker stuff I get sells for around 500 bucks.

I'm confused. Is this thread about experience gain ("he still finds loads of treasure...but...now nothing at all. Not even a noticeable twitch of the meter! ") or treasure drops?

I noted the issue of treasure value when I read another thread starring you two about the exact same issue a moment ago, and will be comparing numbers when I can.

i think it was just about the exp gain. kit just happened to also mention the other issue.

Yes, mostly the exp gain...and then general bitchiness about treasure. ^.^; Kuchos don't move the meter at all, but now lurkers do...really slowly...but it moves em. Sorry, I tend to rant in the wrong places! I figured that it doesn't matter if lurkers are on the ES anyhow..they attack with psionics. No wonder I'm getting bashed in from time to time!

Lurkers are 7 levels above kucho, so you'd definitely be gaining more experience from lurkers.

Meh if I may ask, how much does mentality affect hunting precisely, cause when Galeth has 178 agil, 154 coord, and 40 mental, how is he not able to at least dodge ONE kucho attack? and can't dodge some of the Nowbi's spells? That one confuses me. Cause nowbi are Galeth's level, he might be even higher, not sure. And kucho and champions are the only things that move his meter as well, of which neither he can hit (amazingly).

Just a few things, fast and loose:

Quote:
high agility and coordination.. how is he not able to at least dodge ONE kucho attack?

Modan Kucho are approximately 10 (or so) levels higher than you, and have appropiately similar min-maxed combat stats, as huntables do.

Anything that makes its home on Echak can be assumed to possess the same combat advantages as a regular player; the huntables in that area were deliberately made to be more 'hardcore' than a vanilla mob. Bearing that in mind...

1. The spellcasters are about on the same level as you, which means that the law of averages will work against both sides in its course.
2. The champions not only outweigh you by almost 20 levels, they're better balanced (again, more comparably to a hunting PC).

:ponder: Ah, heh, but 10 levels wouldn't make that much of a difference eh? Kucho referring to, can see about champions though, and the spell casting at this point? meh could I guess, looks like time to get stronger...

since level difference is determined when checking if you hit or miss (and if they hit or miss you), 10 levels matters a lot.
