|
|
Hello,
Just wondering, which stats have an impact on Medicine, Surgery and First Aid skills? I have some stat points to spend, but the stats help is not too clear on this..
Although i did considered either Coordination or Intellect.
Thanks.

B. What Should I Train To Be A Better Medic?
The most important stats for a Medic are:
Coordination, Intellect, Mentality, and Perception. Coordination is
important in handling your medic devices (regenerator, emitter, etc.)
as you get older. You might also choose to train stats such as
agility (evasion) and vitality if you decide to become a combat medic
or plan to hunt a lot. |
i would say train intelligence first if you are capable of staying logged in to drain exp because it helps you process your exp pool the best, but i say that with powerleveling in mind as opposed to roleplay.
IIRC, mentality helps you deal with 'stress' and lets you focus better on healing people (under the impression that blood is flying everywhere and you need to not snap under pressure).
not sure how perception works in terms of why it helps medics, other than letting you be more apt at seeing wounds, hah. _________________ A bright-eyed Thekko Ku Kalla dressed in a dapper sailor suit takes to flight and careers through the air toward the Modan Kucho and slams into him!

Generally speaking, for the medical procedures a medic usually performs, coordination and mentality are key. As Yaru has stated, intellect is key for everyone, if advancement itself is a big concern to you. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

I understand.
But in order to gain better bonus from Medicine, First Aid and Surgery, which stat applies?
Coordination? or Mentality?

you'll never see a skill bonus from increasing stats, if that is what you mean.
profession/race bonuses are a flat (percentage) rate, generally. _________________ A bright-eyed Thekko Ku Kalla dressed in a dapper sailor suit takes to flight and careers through the air toward the Modan Kucho and slams into him!

Hi, I've been gone for a short time, but basically what Yaru posted is exactly how this works. Coordination will be your most important stat for handling your equipment, and mentality is secondary. Not that you should ignore any of the others.
Another thing to know is it isn't so much which SKILL is being utilized as it is what ACTIVITY you are doing.
None will provide you with a visible bonus to skills. _________________ Counselor Faith Tempest
