My biggest concern about the Hitchhiker movie is it being too similar to the book. Razz

I'll be checking it out, at some point, all the same.(You have to work REALLY hard to make me not like your movie)

Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind is one of my(many) prefered viewings. Wink

if it hasnt been mentioned already, id like to suggest 'Run, Lola, Run'. i believe that was its english title. if not findable dubbed in english, it is titled 'Lola Rennt' in german, and comes with english subtitles. its one of those movies where the main characters go through a crisis situation in a few different ways, with some elements being different in each situation, and the viewer gets to see the results of all of them. just the kind of stuff a philosopher like me needs to feed an already overactive imagination.

"Lola Rennt" is one of those movies for people that brood about situations... There's a situation at hand that Lola can handle a few ways...so she does...but it's really a testiment, I think, about fate and making it for yourself. Big for psych people too. ^.^ I've never seen the dubbed version...but it usually is the case that you're better off getting the subtitled version...dub translations are usually weak.

Having seen Revenge of the Sith on Saturday as part of celebrating my graduation, it has now taken a spot near the top of my list. Ironically, though, while I did not shed a single tear during graduation, I cried towards the end of the movie over Padme. And I'm not normally the crying type, let me add.

I just know watched it, but "What the Bleep Do We Know Know?" is really great. Even though I wasn't all that keen about how they tried to explain religion through quantum mechanics (you know, since religion and science generally just don't mix), I found the explanations from the experts to be fascinating. And everything they were saying made logical sense.

But yeah. It's good. The beginning can be a little slow, I suppose, if you're not interested at all in quantum mechanics, but keep in mind that there's a great little animation stint halfway through.

worst movie ever just because it was capable of turning science into "with faith, we can accomplish anything!" hippie crap.

the only saving point were the dancing peptides.

the biggest failing point was the creepy old european woman saying "hard on" over and over when trying to explain the power of the mind.

Haha. Troo, troo.

I took the religion+science stuff to just be another way to help explain some of the theories in ways that totally non-science buffs could understand. "Oh, God is just an observer that enhances and creates what I think about? Great!"

Those were actually dancing cells, by the way. But they were, indeed, off the chain.
