http://www.engadget.com/

They're covering E3 and have already made a few posts about the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. I assume the Nintendo Revolution will be blogged later tonight or tomorrow.

I was happy to see that both the Xbox 360 and PS3 will be backwards compatible.

I believe Revolution coverage will begin at about 11 AM. That's my guess according to the countdown on Nintendo's website.

..my girlfriend wants me to go do something with her tomorrow. Can't she understand that this is the biggest week of the year for gamers?

I've heard that the actual specs of the Revolution won't be released for another week. Which kind of sucks, but I don't think it'll make too much of a difference.

Oh, the above link has a few photos of the console.

The best part is the complaints about there not being a paddle. This I can understand. It took me awhile to get use to XBox's paddle...and thankfully..they came out with a smaller version. Girls have smaller hands people!

The hand in the first photo looks fairly feminine to me.

Anyway, the thing is proclaimed to be only as thick as about three DVD cases. That's not really in the realm of "thick". I'm assuming by "paddle" you mean a thinner version of the same console. Thinner isn't always better, by the way; the streamlined version of the PS2 is known for its tendency to overheat.

I was only commenting about the original XBox paddle...which was hell to use. I have tiny hands. That's all.

And by paddle I mean the controller. Maybe it's a northeast thing to call them paddles.

I've certainly never heard them called that. And yeah, one of the X-box's MANY downsides is the huge, clunky controller. Faintly reminescent of an N64 controller. The ones that shipped with Japanese Xbox's was MUCH smaller.

Though technical specifications on the Revolution hardware are not yet available, Nintendo says their new console is only two or three times as powerful as the GameCube. "It's not all about having 'turbo power,' " Nintendo's Perrin Kaplan told USA Today. "It's about what you do with it."

That's disappointing. The PS3 is infinitely more powerful than the PS2, and somewhat more powerful than the XB360. The Revolution sounds like a hyped version of the GameCube, not a completely new system.

So far, my top pick is the PS3.

I've heard them called "paddles"; then again, I'm also a Yankee.

I'll most likely go with a PS3 and a Revolution. I love some of what Nintendo has been doing, but nothing I've seen has yet to take advantage of the full power of the GameCube.

I'm a die hard Nintendo fan. My brother's a PS fan...so it's pretty much win win. That, and he works as a manager at EB so he gets 20% off of everything. A gamer's delight. I'll be sad when he quits to go to grandschool next year.

Its sexy. I'll more than likely trade my clunky, evil, DS in for one....unless Baten Kaitos and Xenosaga come out with DS games as they are rumored to do.
