- TRACKER ONLY: Bones may now be harvested from some creatures when butchering them (second skin attempt). This applies even to some creatures that don't normally provide meat.
- Bones harvested by Trackers may now be used for many whittling projects. A new project, the urjakana, may -only- be made from bone, not wood. While bone harvesting is only available to Trackers, whittling bone is available to all. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

I know pestles are under the sculpting system, but could a pestle project be added to the bone whittling stuff? It would make sense, if only because I have (to my knowledge) the only bone pestle right now.

Inside a medium skull mortar with sapphire inlaid eyes you see a large bone pestle. |
While I'd like to keep it unique, I do like to share the love sometimes.

Pestles are in both systems, and have been for a while. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

Uh...everytime I skin the second time I get meat. And from skeletons I can only skin once to get the skull. Any hints on what will give you bones the second time? I tried everything in the fen (you can get a million fingers from workers, just so you know), asapi, eoshaei (or whatever it is), royal guards, beetles, grags, and jaddan and alteri skeletons. _________________ "I reject your reality and substitute my own!" -- Adam Savage

Nice! Bone whittling. I havent checked this system out yet, but will we be able to make like arrowheads or spearheads out of them or any other weapons? _________________ Lick or Be Licked |

Well, I'll give you a hint... anything that can drop a box is not going to drop a bone. I fixed the issue where one could skin certain things over and over again like the foragers and workers.

Maybe. But if we do add arrowheads and the like, whittling your own may not necessarily have an effect on the ability of the arrow, spear, etc you make, that's a bit too far out in the future to say exactly. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

So is it a sometimes thing? Kit and Lina went to hunt --- it's easier to hunt with a primary tracker...I almost got mine killed when I took both character of mine hunting --- and they did gamos, asapi and eos, does and bucks. _________________ "I reject your reality and substitute my own!" -- Adam Savage

wait, so it is or isn't a tracker only thing?
i don't mind doing an impersonation of someone willing to buy items from players again, but i just want to know what's going on. _________________ A bright-eyed Thekko Ku Kalla dressed in a dapper sailor suit takes to flight and careers through the air toward the Modan Kucho and slams into him!

Which just goes to show that if you thought the only place you'd get a quality bone was from Simutronics, you've been proved wrong! _________________ Mickey Brunner

Has anyone found one yet? An hour's worth of butchering bucks and does has led me to believe they're very hard to find. _________________ "I reject your reality and substitute my own!" -- Adam Savage
