I've never used my medic before to either heal anyone or revive them, but Vyrath died and the two medics not idle didn't come...and while they both STILL are not idle, and I asked them both this without them answering, I figured I'd ask here.
What's the level to use a cardio? I thought it was 10. But I typed Revive Vyrath and was told I couldn't do it.
Edit: Gahu told me. Cardios are now at 15. So close! _________________ "I reject your reality and substitute my own!" -- Adam Savage

Actually I think they are still at 10th, they are going to 30th. Most likely you haven't trained research, electronics or some other skill or stat to the needed amt. _________________

Hm, when I made him...and I haven't played him in forever...all of his stat points went into coordination, intellect, mentality, and perception. I made him specifically to be Kit's medic...but now there's lots of medics around and I'd rather use them then my own. So he has maxed medic skills and as much of those four as possible. Gahu told me it got moved to being level 15 to use a cardio. I know it's going to 30...and I might play him again just to have that backup of a revivor...but I've been interested mostly in my agent. She's turning out to be pretty cool. And poisons are fun! _________________ "I reject your reality and substitute my own!" -- Adam Savage

For medics to use the cardio effectively -I believe- you have to have medicine, first aid, research, electronics and surgery trained to the max at the lower levels. Once you get to the point that you can successfully revive it might not matter so much. _________________ Stay true to yourself no matter the cost and you'll always know who you are. |

Current:
Requirements for reviving are at LEAST 10th level, at LEAST maximum electronics and maximum medicine. And you can still fail - especially if your equipment is in less than perfect condition.
Kit: I checked and your medic does not meet the requirements. You might want to re-evaluate his skills.
Future:
Requirements for reviving will be at LEAST 30th level, at LEAST maximum electronics and maximum medicine. I haven't finished evaluating cardiostimulators for the changes so there may be further requirements than this.
Current and Future:
The more skilled you are, the less likely you are to fail/better you will do - even with low integrity items. As a Medic, unless you want to be excluded from higher level systems as they are put in, there will never be a time (beta or live) when you should stop training your core skills. _________________ Counselor Faith Tempest

Thanks for the GM input Faith! Hm. I suppose I'll have to spend some levels just evening him out since you can't reallocate anymore. Thanks so much. _________________ "I reject your reality and substitute my own!" -- Adam Savage

it pains me to hear people are making medics just for revive. _________________ A bright-eyed Thekko Ku Kalla dressed in a dapper sailor suit takes to flight and careers through the air toward the Modan Kucho and slams into him!

Yeah, but I made him over 3 months ago and never had to use him. I WOULD much rather go to a medic that's ALWAYS a medic. Or the ER. And luckily, I never had to use him. Well, I used him today for people. I found out why he couldn't revive. No electronic skill! D'oh! There were no other medics around this morning so it felt really good being able to log him in and help revive people that might have had to wait a really long time. _________________ "I reject your reality and substitute my own!" -- Adam Savage
