Do you like to RP a religious belief for your characters? |
I keep up with the various deities and RP some religious aspect a lot. |

I'll RP it now and then but I may not know the details on all the gods and such. |

Once in a blue moon I RP it, but it's not a big deal to me. |

I opted for number one, simply because it seems like all the races are going to have their seperate gods and such. It's hard, at least for me, to keep up with all 13 Gods in <that other place> that, somehow, every race has come to accept and devout their spirituality to. Here, it looks like everyone's getting a good four or five (Alteri) deities that are well-known, with of course the assumed plethora of "Legendary Heros Made Into Gods" or "Less Known" deities. I'm happy with this.

Mine would vary depending on the character. For instance, my mendicant healer would likely prove a lot more ecclesiastically-minded than my godless heathen of a drunken tavern brawler. I think religion (or lack thereof) provides fun RP flavor. |

Unless you're a Prydaen . Then you get to mock all the fools and their fake Gods, and look up only to the 3 real Gods, Demrris (his symbol is the Iladza), Tenemlor, and Eu.
Silly rabbits.
You tap one claw against your iladza pendant thoughtfully.
"Oh for Eu's sake."
My line! But of course everyone had to go and copy it, and now lots of people say it. _________________ Dragoonseal |

Heh. I guess it would've helped to mention that I currently play Rakash characters only, huh? We've only one deity.. so we're even better than you furry kats.
I once said, "Mrod damnit!" .. and got a caution two minutes later. It was funny.

I do RP a religious character in DR.
Kilan is deeply devoted to Meraud...and it REALLY irks me when Clerics call him heathen when most people consider him border-line fanatical. <g>
I've also played the heathen sort.
Religion(or lack thereof) is a part of a characters life. NOT roleplaying it just seems...silly.

I would rp my character worshiping some type of god or whatever. It doesn't bother me to, or that other people do.
Oh and on the Meraud thing, I find it kinda funny people would call him a heathen? Isn't he always in the persuit of knowledge and such? And if it wasn't for him, there would be no written language.
I play an s'kra bard in dr. Fazehund. _________________ Protect those, who cannot protect themselves. |

Yet another DR person wanders in. Hee hee. I wonder why we keep attracting them over here? |

Saying you want me leave, Draxx?
Seriously...I've been a sucker for the sci-fi/fantasy combo genre for a long time.(Piers Anthony kicked it off, for me, with the Incarnations of Immortality series, interestingly enough)
I know you, Fazehund. Sorta.

Just think of us as a disease. But seriously, it seems to be mainly by word of mouth. I was told of this place by Chris/Glim/Kilan, myself.

Fear not...I'm from DR too. Never going back though. Never!
On the religion thing though, I agree with Mr. Glim. It seems kind of silly to skip over something like religion, even if all you do is pick a god you think is cool and say, "Yeah, I follow him/her/it. Let's go hunt some gamojabs!" So really, it is kind of silly to skip it in my mind. Though since most are from DR, people might think they HAVE to pick a god in order to get orbs to rub to escape death. |

Does RPing an atheist count as RPing some aspect of religion?

I would say so. It is a religious belief, after all. |

Draxx is from DR?
Mind if ask if you left or got fired or are you a retired player?
Religion: Every culture has some form of religion. I think it would be a missed opportunity for some fun role-play if there were no gods/goddess or anything to worship.
I bet a place like HR would have a ton of different religions just like earth, because of all the different races. You could make different gods/goddesses for all the races, then you could have fights or wars based on religion.
