Im just curious about something.......
If I had a penny and doubled my money everyday.
How much money would I have after a year?
Example: 1 cent, 2 cent, 4 cent, 8 cent

Question. Did you just multiply by 2 for 365 times? Or did you remember to add the preexisting amount?. 1 2 4 8 thats 8 cents extra, but 15 total cents. to make it easier at 1024 you have 1024+(2048-1)
That trend continues for the entirity of it.

I (more or less) used a function I wrote to do the math, and had it return the result in floating point.

The way, the problem is stated, you don't add the previous days' amounts. It's just 2^(number of days - 1) cents.
But if you were adding them, it would be (2^number of days) - 1.
