I know that originally Marriage was established as a religious institution by the bible. However when it became a legal contract entered by two consenting adults and only can be put asunder by a judge and usually a lot of legal hoopla. Then how can a government dictate that its ok for people of the same sex to enter other contracts but not legal for people of the same sex to enter into a marriage contract? Specially when there is supposed to be a separation of church and state. If two people getting married is going to jeopardize the foundation of marriage then your marriage has issues to begin with. This ruling to me is a step in the right direction whether straight or gay the government officials cant force their morals onto the populace just because someone believes that its wrong. Sorry about the soap box!

I have considered moving to another country when I find Mr. Right just so I can marry him. That is how strongly I feel about the topic. I enjoy my home, but I'd leave it for love.

Obviously the answer is to make it so legal contracts of every kind must be entered by a guy and a really hot female supermodel.
