Currently anyone with enough repair can fix cybergear right?
If that's the case are there any plans on changing that?
Tshar gets knocked around by Kuchos all day long and his cybergear gets damaged all the hell. It's not very economic to keep getting it fixed by Shavcire and I can't have a tech babysit Tshar all day long while he hunts. So I'm just asking if there are plans to change that aspect of anyone being able to repair cyber parts before I spend a reallocate for some repair skill. _________________ It is better to be pissed off than pissed on. |

unless i get my cybergear bashed to hell (thanks a lot, glim! ), i can generally repair any damage i get done to mine.
i think the trick is to repair it after every hunting session, even if you don't see the damage. when you see the damage, that's like when you reach 'injured' on actual body damage (or something around there). scuff and/or bruise level damage doesn't show up unless you appraise the limb.
i know this doesn't directly answer your question, but i'm more trying to point out that you won't have to exactly maximize your repair training to repair things (as of now) unless you ignore the damage until it's really bad. _________________ A bright-eyed Thekko Ku Kalla dressed in a dapper sailor suit takes to flight and careers through the air toward the Modan Kucho and slams into him!

I know there's a cap on how much a non-tech can repair, so you may be disappointed even if you max it. |

honestly, i don't think that's an issue unless you completely ignore your repairs. _________________ A bright-eyed Thekko Ku Kalla dressed in a dapper sailor suit takes to flight and careers through the air toward the Modan Kucho and slams into him!

Yaru is right. If you always repair yourself after every trip, you shouldn't have any problem with damage. Eyes are the easiest to repair and they usually show damage in HEALTH right away. _________________ "I reject your reality and substitute my own!" -- Adam Savage

As far as I know there are no plans to change the way repair works with cyberware. I don't know if Drake had anything in mind for that or not.
Also, if you didn't get the armor for your parts, do it now! _________________ God has no place within these walls, just as facts have no place within organized religion.

will it be possible for us non techs to tell if our parts are armored?
i can understand if we can't see the chips inside, but i'd hope i can look at something and go "Yeah, armor's on that" _________________ A bright-eyed Thekko Ku Kalla dressed in a dapper sailor suit takes to flight and careers through the air toward the Modan Kucho and slams into him!

I don't see why not. I'll be messing with the cybergear appraisal to separate out the armor from the chips in the next few days anyway, so look for it soon. _________________ God has no place within these walls, just as facts have no place within organized religion.
