I'd like to open this folder to keep up to date info on the whole Nova RP thing. Some of you will know what I'm referring to, most won't. I would like the people who are involved to post their experiences and the knowledge they have of the event so that others might wish to get involved once they know what's going on.
I don't think it's right that only a select few should be involved in this and I think that it's our responsibility(the players) to keep others informed in case they want to get into it.
So post away. I myself am not even up to date on everything that's going on, so this would be helping myself as well. I think Nelle and Kit will probably have the most information for us, I'm hoping they will help with this thread.

I'm possitive almost everyone got the first flyer. Probably everyone signed on at the time. I also got the second flyer, as did everyone that promised to help Nova. Right now, Gawyn's checking for fingerprints on the flyers.
Please please please remember that this is OOC knowledge! There's a definate IG threat for the involved PCs of getting killed and their images wiped since the prince is involved.

I'm one of the ones that didn't get the first flyer, as did neither Eka nor Xice. I'm figuring it floated down or something while we were all snoozing and we missed them.

Thanks for letting at least the people that read the boards know. Now we at have a chance to get in some RP other than what we normally are doing. (yelling at critters while we hunt, swearing when our mining picks break or dirt gets in our fingernails from foraging).
By the way, are just these two the other key characters,

as for yaru's side of things, he's been hearing something clawing and falling or something every so often. he's also felt like he was being watched at times.
last time something like this happened, it was when he was walking to get bait for fishing after just waking up. the time before that was when he was sleeping (aka: when he was afk hiding napping draining etc) at the borkin hut.

update on some of the stuff:
1) nova showed up tonight to a small group of us at the core. she said hi and invited us to her home. i'm including a log because i found it very amusing, especially since i'm playing yaru from a youthful cyberpunk high-society urchin perspective.

[Datastream Technologies, Computing Facility, Core]
The computer core is a large spherical room that takes up an outrageous amount of space. In the center is the computer core where the AI matrix resides. Around the edges of the room, hanging from the ceiling, and staggered throughout the center are rows of metallic structures, the data processors and other devices necessary to the computers operation. The outer wall of the room is composed entirely of crystalline memory cubes that flicker and glow with an inner light. Six catwalks lead inwards to the center of the room where the crystalline core is suspended. The catwalks lead off to various diagnostic and equipment alcoves.
You also see a crystalline core.
Also here is Electrician Kit Murphy, Zap Foster, Captain Jade Venra, and Nova Kyna.
You notice exits leading north, northeast, east, south, west, and northwest.
You ask, "So, uh, how do we enter, uh, data. Kit?"
Kit Murphy says, "I...well..."
As Nova steps towards the core, suddenly a strange light envelops you and you feel your body vanishing.
[Data Space, The Eternal Staircase]
A long spiral staircase descends downwards from this point. It appears to have been fashioned from blocks of pure golden energy. Along the right side, hanging in the air, is a glowing red railing of energy. Far below, seemingly miles off, lies a tiny lit area. All else is blackness.
Also here is Nova Kyna, Electrician Kit Murphy, and Zap Foster.
You notice exits leading down and out.
Zap Foster says, "She'll probably disassemble..."
Zap Foster says, "Yeah, that."
You ask, "Are we, uh, us still?"
Nova Kyna says, "For the moment you are patterns in a computer processor."
Kit Murphy asks, "Where are our bodies?"
Nova Kyna says, "Remaining this way for very long will drive you mad."
Nova Kyna says, "Your bodes are....safe."
Nova Kyna goes down and you follow.
[Data Space, Central Chamber]
The central chamber consists of a small lit area in the midst of total darkness. Oddly enough, sitting in the middle of the lit area there is a comfortable looking leather couch with one small section missing that provides an entrance to the area. One part of the couch appears to have been transformed into some sort of creche. While the lighting is bright outside the circle, inside all is subdued and almost peaceful. After spending enough time in this area, you may notice a number of colored lights in the distance, almost as if there was more to this place than it first appeared.
You also see a padded creche and a circular couch.
Also here is Nova Kyna, Electrician Kit Murphy, and Zap Foster.
You notice an exit leading up.
You say, "I better not end up like, an argabu or gamojab or something."
This creche appears to be just the right size to contain a small humanoid infant. Sensors and various other devices appear to be imbedded in the front. It looks unused.
Zap Foster says, "Like I said, particles disassembled, transferred, and reassembled."
You exclaim, "A crib!"
Kit Murphy touches a padded creche.
Nova Kyna places a hand on her stomach, "Yes."
You beam at Nova Kyna!
Kit Murphy says, "Are you..."
You turn to Nova Kyna and exclaim, "Nova's making babies!"
Nova Kyna says, "I am replacing what was lost."
Zap Foster smiles at Nova Kyna.
Kit Murphy asks, "How did it...get lost..?"
You ask, "The kid I reminded you of?"
In the distance a long haired, dark skinned woman can be seen passing from the blue light towards a red one.
Kit Murphy swallows.
Nova Kyna says, "Something like that."
You enthusiastically dive to the ground and scrabbles around investigating the terrain, poking and prodding various things lying about so you can see what might be hidden around the area. You note the primary composition of the terrain as an abundance of concrete and other man-made urban material. You gasp suddenly and pick something inconsequential up, stuffing it quickly into your pocket before standing back up.
This area is at sea level.
It is currently day.
Roundtime: 6 sec. (ps: rats, i was hoping for something like "abundance of 1s and 0s", hah)
Zap Foster watches in awe.
Kit Murphy asks, "Where do the lights go?"
Nova Kyna says, "Other places."
Nova Kyna says, "Other parts of me."
Kit Murphy says, "Is that woman...another part of you."
Nova Kyna says, "She is...like me, but different."
Nova Kyna says, "I was once like you, but she was never so blessed."
Kit Murphy asks, "Not your child?"
Zap Foster asks, "Is she...what you were before?"
Kit Murphy gazes at Nova Kyna.
You turn to Nova Kyna and say, "Is that 'you' you? Or the you that you choose to make us see."
Nova Kyna says, "No, Zachary, before I was like her, I was like you."
Kit Murphy asks, "How did you become...this?"
Nova Kyna says, "But now I must go, and so should you."
Nova Kyna suddenly disappears!
Zap Foster snaps his fingers. |
2) nova seems to be giving birth to 'something' as part of a deal with gawyn. she told us not to worry because as she gains power from DT, she is granted more freedoms because DT grows more dependent upon her.
3) yaru was the source of the fliers.

You clear your throat.
Jade Venra glances at you.
Kit Murphy says, "Someone stop me from talking to Gawyn. My mouth tends to run on and on..."
Zap Foster gazes at you.
You exclaim, "What what!"
You are feeling okay.
Zap Foster glances at Kit Murphy.
Jade Venra refrains from comment.
Yaru Dex quietly says, "So maybe I was really scared about where Nova was and I wanted people to look for her. Because I knew if a lot of people were worried about her someone would have to do something."
Jade Venra suddenly looks compassionate.
You are feeling arrogant.
Jade Venra nods to you.
You ask, "And it WORKED, didn't it?"
You laugh!
Zap Foster gazes at you.
Nova Kyna smiles at you.
Kit Murphy says, "Explain the second flyer."
Nova Kyna stands up.
Zap Foster points at you.
Jade Venra says, "A childs motivation is so intriguing .. but this time, i am glad."
Nova Kyna asks, "What was I saying about everyone having reasons for doing the things they do?"
Jade Venra nods.
Nova Kyna smiles at Jade Venra.
You say, "Just you asking for help."
You giggle.
Kit Murphy says, "Too many mysteries! My head will explode."
You exclaim, "I made you look like a robot!"
You laugh!
Zap Foster says, "The flyers aren't a mystery, Kit."
Zap Foster glances at you.
Kit Murphy says, "Speculation is not fact."
You say, "And once I saw who was really worried about you, I sent the next set to those people because I knew they'd try really hard to figure things out."
Zap Foster says, "Yaru just said HE planted them."
Kit Murphy blinks at you.
You giggle.
You ask, "Well it worked, right?"
Kit Murphy exclaims, "Yaru!"
You exclaim, "What!"
Kit Murphy grabs you by the shoulders and shakes you! |

as a further update, DT's main building has been constructed some more.
the first floor has offices/labs.
the 13th floor is for 'tests'
the 25th floor is the media center and president's office.
i'd get into who is working on the 13th floor, but no reason to ruin things for those guys.
