I'm not sure why anyone would absolutely have to work alone, either; I'm sure if all the rooms were rented you could walk into a couple of them. |
Yes, it's not like an alchemy lab in that respect. Many people can use the rooms at the same time. _________________ "I reject your reality and substitute my own!" -- Adam Savage

Has anyone else noticed that the flood lights seem to be eating their batteries and light bulbs? |

I don't use them. The droidlights work just as well at keeping the place lighted. _________________ "I reject your reality and substitute my own!" -- Adam Savage

Can there be a way to tell how much battery juice a gadget had by looking at it? Like the flood lights, droidlights, and flashlights? _________________ "I reject your reality and substitute my own!" -- Adam Savage

>turn light on
You try to turn on a flood light, but there's no light bulb.
>open light
You open a flood light.
>put bulb in light
You don't have to put a battery into that. |
Kind of frustrating that I can't build a droidlight properly until I get the flood light working. |

Yeah, I wish the flood lights worked off of elecricity. But any light source will help. _________________ "I reject your reality and substitute my own!" -- Adam Savage

I don't really carry around light sources, being Darju, and neither my small nor large socket is the same size as the "crusty reflector" I tried to build a flashlight with. |

Maybe you don't need it then, Infierna. Do you get the 'it's dark in here' message as you build a gadget? Drake just made the rooms naturally dark. Nightvision should clear that up. _________________ "I reject your reality and substitute my own!" -- Adam Savage

I don't get an "it's dark here message" because it's not dark. However, it is not bright enough to build or repair a gadget. I get a "you are more prone to accidents" or somesuch message. |

In other words, nightvision abilities are not being taken into account in the workshops.

I think it can be explained by saying that no matter how good night vision is, it pales in comparison to good white light. The glow bracelets seem to help a lot. _________________ "I reject your reality and substitute my own!" -- Adam Savage

I fail to see how a rave bracelet would light up an entire area.
Though, I suppose if the workshops are really dark enough, a glowing bracelet would help someone with nightvision (natural or otherwise) a lot more than someone without. Since nightivision is nothing more than using available photons more efficiently and all.

I still happen to have about uhm... 40? glow bracelets. I do give them away from time to time. _________________ Stay true to yourself no matter the cost and you'll always know who you are. |
