Does it affect your alignment at all? I mean, I think it's a great power, and it has necromancer type feel to it, but then again, only a psionic can take people to Necropolis....so.....yeah.
*grins*
Was just wondering. _________________ ** Tanis Loray discovered that birthing mutated clones is quickest through the ribcage.

At this time no, it has no alignment effect. I'd rather not penalize people for using their professional abilities - they're there to be used. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

Do you mean within the game as a whole, or just the professions you're governing over? Because healing = alignment effects (granted it's not much, but it's still there).
I'm not trying to stir the pot so the shit hits the fan faster, I'm just curious.

If it does end up working like Medic healing does, I think it should work in a similar way. Using it on evil creatures makes it a good spell and vice versa, with neutral creatures not effecting it either way. _________________ Help! Help! I'm being oppressed! |

Oh yes...if this is the power that's only in the fishing system, I'm looking into getting it, since Dante doesn't fish. _________________ Help! Help! I'm being oppressed! |

I don't impose on other staff's systems unless I deem it completely necessary, but healing is different. You can actively choose to only heal good or evil characters, but there is no scavenging in a good way and an evil way. In fact, I don't really consider it a good or evil act. It's how it is used that has a good or evil aspect. Any alignment the creature had in life is irrelevant because it only acts in defense of its master and has no independent thought.
Now one update I will be doing is that currently if a scavenged creature kills something that would give its master an alignment hit, it doesn't. So psionics have the ability to kill creatures with no alignment hit by letting their minions do the final hit. This will be corrected.

I'll be adding more powers to the fishing treasure soon. You still don't need to make a point to go out and train fishing though, if you can't afford the points. Eventually someone who is willing to sell it or give it away will find the powers you're looking for.

I introduced this power to the fishing system early in the AM (you might have seen the announcement IG, not sure). So, it wasn't in the system yesterday (going by eastern time). _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

I was referring to any page. And the psionic page Jade actually gave to me.

Soi I logged on this morning to let Dante drain some experience while I was in class (all he seems to do as of late), but then this occured right as I logged in.

[Llanfair, Upper Cloud Court]
Evenings outside the famous Ako Eokai Theatre make it impossible for any traffic to pass through. The building's walls are constructed of isaisae stone that glitters briefly as the blue-tinted spot lights pass over them. A glowing sign outlines the current productions and their show dates.
You also see a decorated tunnel, some double doors, Eochae Owike and a borkin warrior.
You notice an exit leading northwest.
You wake up from your daydream.
>l warr
While not known for their intellect, the borkin are rugged, if primitive, race. While rather short, they have strong bodies and defining upturned tusks. This one bears the markings of a great warrior.
A borkin warrior has a slightly scuffed head.
She is holding a rusty chain and sickle in her right hand and nothing in the left.
>hide
You manage to find a hiding place.
Roundtime: 10 sec.

A borkin warrior searches the area carefully.

A borkin warrior searches the area carefully and spots you!
Awkwardly, a borkin warrior slashes a rusty chain and sickle at you. With skill, you dodge the attack, barely breaking a sweat.
[You are fairly well balanced, healthy, and well rested.]
R>draw flarewhip
You draw forth a glowing cobalt flarewhip from your thigh sheath.
>slash warr
You may not attack Glim Faethyn's minion.
>raise eye
You raise your eyebrow.
>sheathe
You sheathe your glowing cobalt flarewhip in a black suede thigh sheath with silver star studs.

You feel fully rested.

A suit of black compressed klulza footman's armor emits a distinct electrical hum which slowly fades to silence.

You manage to find a hiding place.

Moving in quickly, a borkin warrior slashes a rusty chain and sickle at you. In a display of true skill, she lands a devastating hit to your right leg as you fail to dodge the attack.
[You are poorly balanced, in good shape, and well rested.]

A borkin warrior says something in a muddled, undecipherable tongue.
>mutt
You mutter to yourself.
>heal
You have a slightly scuffed left arm and a bruised right leg.
You are in good shape and well rested.
Your inner focus is at full strength.
Your piercings include: ear (1), privates (1). |
What the hell? I thought they were only suppose to defend their masters. The second attack I can sort of understand, but the first one...huh? _________________ Help! Help! I'm being oppressed! |

They do not attack unless I attack something.
However, they do search.
When they do find someone in hiding, they automatically attack. This aspect carries over when they are brought back.
This log looks more like it was when my logging out resulted in them converting back to normal warriors, though. That has been fixed.
The search&attack has not, though.(I think one of mine actually tagged you while I was passing through, as well)

Fixed. Naturally aggressive creatures would attack anyone they searched out. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato
