If there is a comm/organizer upgrade, it'd be good if there were an "on/off duty" ability. Go to the courthouse and tell them that you don't want to work on any player-cases and they won't send you any notifications until you tell them otherwise.
Though, to be in-character, you'd probably have to be on-duty if you want to work on cases at all. Since there shouldn't be any real distinction between an NPC and a PC from a character's perspective.

I could make it so that in order to do "high profile cases" (player cases) you have to sign up on some sort of registry.

I wouldn't mind through organizer or comm. Though if it's like ticker update, I still am not using that. I don't know at this point, if players will want to just comm, private or otherwise. I don't know how the ticker update works. Does it work all the time as long as it's set to yes? So there would have to be another set on the organizer for player cases? |
In answer to part of your question. It depends on whether you get the ticker upgrade, or the ticker announcement upgrade. The announcement upgrade gives you a verbal announcement any time there is a fluctuation in the commodity market and tells you the new price of the commodity. The standard ticker upgrade just lets you veiw the ticker board from anywhere.
Also, there is a mute function on the organizers to stop the ticker announcements from going off all the time. I may be doing a further update to organizers that lets you choose which comodities your ticker announce will follow. _________________ -Rikiar Vandalarius
