It is really worth it to pull up a Japanese site on Bablefish, esspecially if you know anything about the way kanji works. |

That's one thing I love about Firefox. I have an extension installed which allows me to highlight a word, right click, select "Translate" and get it translated from a language via Babelfish.(Opens babelfish in a new tab).
http://www.mozilla.org - Home of the Mozilla Suite, Thunderbird email/newsgroup client and the Firefox browser.
http://sourceforge.net - Open source development community. Lots of handy tools available for download.

Yeah, even though Babelfish (and pretty much every non-human translator) sucks at sentences, it's good for Kanji. Well, it's better than looking it up in a Kanji dictionary, anyway.

Hahah sk8erchickhottie. I totally thought that that was some fake SA-style thing when I first saw it, but now I'm not so sure. Ummm... I had a site in mind but I forgot it. Oh well. |

Okay. No longer editing my initial post for updates due to the non-bump nature of edits.

Which is why you get something other than Internet Explorer for browsing.
Mozilla of any flavor.(Keeping in mind that Firefox is still in beta, so problems are entirely possible)
Opera features an ad banner in the free version. (It's pretty easy to find a crack, if you're that kind of person.
I'd recommend either of these.

I only use IE because almost every site works with it. I had a little trouble with Mozilla back when I tried it for the first time (some several months ago), but nothing too serious. Opera works fine 99.9% of the time, it's just that I'm more used to IE and having multiple windows instead of the formers' spiffy archiving action.
But it's a good thing that I use Spybot-S&D Resident (basically a 24/7 spyware detector) and ABS's toolbar (one of the best ad-blockers sans spyware, in my opinion). Screw SP2's firewall and pop-up blocker, though. Psh.

You'd be surprised. I (once) speculate(d) on the phenomenon here. _________________ Mickey Brunner
