So. Can we get a salary like the Troopers?  C'mon! My implants will be in high demand.. eventually! Might as well pay me now so you can get a discount later (assuming that the higher ups in the Technician Circles will actually need underlings to make things for them)!

Only reason I gave Troopers a salary is cause they have no way of making money off PC's. Ya'll be getting rich off making implants for everyone, though Zoz might decide to give you one, who knows?

Just like me to get my wisecrack out before I even answer the core question, doh!
As far as salaries are concerned, I have no idea. Droids will be money-sappers, and biotech stuff will be money makers, but not til WAY down the road. (would you trust YOUR kids with a pre-med student as their doctor? I think not..). So, I'm inclined to say yes, since Techs aren't natural hunters and don't have any initial money-making advantage.

::Celebrates:: Heh. I was thinking though, in the interest of general fairness. When the Techie reaches a certain level (I'd say soon after they make their first really good biotech/implant/whatever), the Guild would slowly begin withdrawing their funding from him. Hey, maybe he'd even have to pay them back over a period of time (loans are fun, you know it)?
Rawr. Looong day, so don't everyone (assuming that there're going to be more than two techs, of course) shoot me at once.
