Nice Enverdi. I like the idea for that kind of scanner too. Perhaps it could even give you an estimate of what something is worth. And why not? We should have that sort of technology where machines can make educated guesses. Or...where the machine would give us a reading and we as techs could make educated guesses.
Like using x-rays to figure out what's under concrete....only those trained to use it can figure out what the colors me.

Maybe not x-rays. I'd think we can harness some other kind of (read: made-up) energy to direct ourselves access to the same things X-rays do. Maybe like some new kind of rad sonar. You can't see through people's clothes...but you can detect shapes and the densities of shapes...maybe appraisal could be used to give the person seeing the shapes a good idea of what the shapes are.
