Ok, Hurricanes are like cats. They are fickle, and they lie. You think, Ok, it's headed our way, and then suddenly at last minute it turns around, and you breath a sigh of relief, and then moments later, it's knocking on your door. I hate hurricantes. That is all. Good luck, everyone being affected by this bloody storm. And just imagine, most of you are allowed to evacuate. Some of us aren't. |

That's awesome.
And also, there are no hurricanes in New Mexico, but please don't move here. You scare me. _________________ >ask librarian about books

New Mexico has dry heat, too. None of this humidity bullshit that's all-too-common in the non-deserty climates. I'll have to consider it in the future.

Nope, they're not in tunnels! They're in hangers...on a base...somewhere... _________________ Before you can react, several abberated lifeforms rend their way out of your chest. Congratulations, you're a mom!

This is because Marduk lives in a perpetual state of confusion, and has mixed up his dreams with his life, again. _________________ Counselor Faith Tempest

It will end up hitting the carolinas and not be a very strong hurricane. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

I want to point out that it's about fucking time a hurricane got a real name.
Ivan! IVAN! I can just picture it being a hairy drunken bastard screaming and dancing and crashing into shit, trying to start a fight with everyone who looks into his glazed eyes funny.
You don't get that kind of mental image with floyd or beverly or shaquanda or whatever else they have going on. _________________ A bright-eyed Thekko Ku Kalla dressed in a dapper sailor suit takes to flight and careers through the air toward the Modan Kucho and slams into him!

They don't NEED good names. Hurricanes start with an H for a good reason. They are HELL. I have been through 2, lower powered hurricanes, Alaina, or Alena, or whatever, and Georges. Alena almost ripped the roof off the house, and removed most of the shingles, and Georges took a tree that was right outside our house, and dropped it on the next door neighbors. That's ok, I didn't like them anyway. When this one was comeing in as a category 4, I took off running. Hurricanes, named Ivan the terrible, or Timmy the Tiny, are forces to be respected, and avoided, if possible. During Frances, one reporter had her rib broke when a piece of styrofoam, about 2 pounds worth, hit her going approximately 80 miles an hour. There were Pine needles embedded into a wall at a place I worked at after Georges. And as far as starting a fight, it's more like Godzilla going through town, not noticeing that people actually exist there, just oblivious and happy. |
