Aside from perception, what other skills or attributes are going to contribute to our thief defenses? I know that in DR, if you learn stealing, it makes it harder for thieves to steal from you. Will things be similar here?

I was talking to Solphan the other day about this, and the consensus is probably Streetwise skill with a little Stealing skill factored in for good measure.

BTW, this topic should be under Agents.

Good, good. I like the idea of knowledge in a skill (even if you don't necessarily intend to use it) gives you an advantage in defenses to it. I'm trying to think of some ideas for the streetwise skill as I noticed in another posting that it is lacking somethings or isn't what you want it to be? Lemme know if you'd like some.

Solphan and I brainstormed the other day and came up with a whole list of uses for Streetwise, actually. I'll post them, but realize these are not set in stone, just concepts:

- Used to prevent stealing.

- Used in place of tracking in urban areas.

- Allows trained characters to notice some hidden passages in urban areas.

- Allows one to haggle with street vendors/merchants for lower prices and for higher returns on sales.

- Allows access to special NPC's that offer services such as locating someone within a city, etc.

- Helps avoid detection by guard/policemen/etc when wanted for crimes.

Again, some of these could be cut or more added.

Yeah, don't cut anything from that list, Trevor. I'm going to need that Avoid Detection bonus when my Droids go ape-shit (for no perceivable reason, of course.. yeah). Confused
