Should things I tailor sell less than the parts that make it up?
1) I notice thread doesn't add to value.
2) I notice that sometimes the pelts would go more as pelts than they would as whatever I craft out of them. |

I'll take a look at it when I return later this week and get back to you. Thread should add to the value. _________________ Arden [hr-arden@haelrahv.com]

Awesome, thanks.
I'm not aware if different threads/attachments add more value or not (as I haven't had time to experiment yet with that), and for now I'm just sticking to seeing what gives the best prices/so on.
Any idea if the pelt thing is normal? |

Tailoringconsistently raises the value of my pelts. I haven't tested price with any of the smaller projects though. _________________ Behind every optic is a mathematic. |

Well, don't forget, I tailor things out of gamojab and eosheri (sp?) pelts. |

At this time, you aren't able to add capacity to anything that normally doesn't have it. For items that do have it, your skill affects the capacity the item has. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

Will these be available for tailoring anytime soon? I was able to use a fleshing knife on the berami skin so i'm thinking it can be crafted into armor. I wanna make me a berami skin backpack.

Have you noticed a difference in using tougher-creature skins compared to like, a gamojab? |

only difference noticed between chith an berami, rhurgal is if i add studs after wax, still slight protection but on everything but magic/psi. still same quality poor, even with exceptional skins didn't notice difference. don't mean wasn't some might. but didn't notice it. just wax or scales didn't show difference. only made few so no real test here. |

You may now use berami skins and a couple of other new things, for tailoring. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

These ramblings are all my own opinion before I start....
I was tailoring skins today and i noticed:
backpack: 5 pelts
knapsack: 5 pelts
bag: 3 pelts
to me the knapsack is like a lil sack i attach to my belt and shouldn't need 5 skins to make it, 3-4 seems more reasonalble to me.
cloak: 6 pelts
cape: 5 pelts
these basically the same thing so why does cloaks need 1 additional pelt?
scroll case: 2 pelts
thong: 2 pelts
again, thongs are lil bitty things and a case to me is kinda like a briefcase, dont see why these should take same amount of pelts.
slippers: 4 pelts
boots: 3 pelts
anyway, i wont go on, just curious as to the numbers behind it all _________________ Neifl Cacambo - "Anyone have change for a tampon?"

I see knapsack and backpack as interchangeable. They're worn on the back....knapsack makes me thing smaller then a backpack, but not much.

A cape is attached at the shoulders or around the neck and only overs the back. A cloack wraps around the shoulders and closes in the front, meaning that a cloak can envelope a person. A cape doesn't.

Scroll cases are long (1-2 feet) and are cylindrical.

This I don't get. I would think boots would be more...but I see slippers and I think bedroom slippers. _________________ "I reject your reality and substitute my own!" -- Adam Savage

knapsacks are tiny backpacks, and aren't belt worn. i agree it should only probably use four pelts, though, since its a smaller backpack.
cloaks take more than capes because if you look at a cloak and look at a cape, there's more fabric used. a cape is something that goes down the back. a cloak tends to wrap around the body but leaves the front open.
scroll cases just take one pelt. it's more a small thing for small papers, not big files like a briefcase.
the boot/slipper thing does sound odd, but it may be that the slipper is fully of the pelt, while the boot might everything but the rubber sole (which i assume it would have).
i fully agree that knapsacks should use a pelt less, though, because the whole point of it is that it's a smaller container that's backworn. _________________ A bright-eyed Thekko Ku Kalla dressed in a dapper sailor suit takes to flight and careers through the air toward the Modan Kucho and slams into him!
