|
|
Couple questions. What stats/skills affect the damage and accuracy of the attack spells, and the effectiveness and duration of the utility spells? I know mentality and psionic skill have a direct impact, but does anything else affect them?
Secondly, does the period of time someone can "hold" a prepared ability before losing it increase with skill? If not, maybe this could become a reality?
Thank you in advance,

In some cases (especially with Magic rather than Psi) intellect can be a factor. In future (live) abilities, charisma will factor in more prominently as well.
As of the current, the length you can hold a prepared but uncast spell/psi before it dissipates is based on profession. For magic/psi respectively, the time is 60 seconds for mages/psionics respectively, and 40 seconds for others. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

Thanks for the quick responce. So, no intentions of increasing hold time with skill? |

Not at this time, though I have to admit I'm a little surprised the request came up. It seemed to be one of those things of little importance to anyone. <g> _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

Skill and stats will now increase the time one can "hold" a prepped spell / invoked power for a small amount. The "proficiency" spell will further increase how long one can hold a magic spell. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

Along those lines I was wondering if there will ever be a psionic ability released to decrease the amount of time it takes to invoke a psionic ability much like the proficiency and mastery spells for mages. _________________ The Xice man cometh! |

One isn't planned at this time and I doubt that's a particular ability Psionics will receive. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato
