I was thinking about the whole infamy thing then was thinking about assasination in relation to it.
How will this work in 'live' and the infamy system(assuming that there will be infamy in live)?
If someone kills you, that's murder no matter what. And to be an agent or merc with an assasination job it seems unfair that everytime you kill someone you get infamy for it, even if there were no witnesses save the person you killed. _________________ It is better to be pissed off than pissed on. |

This is another one I can't give you an "official" answer on yet, but it seems to me that if there is a formal system for acquiring contract assassinations then those jobs should either not effect infamy or have less of an effect. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

I thought agents worked undercover. Are we now hired assassins? If so, then my skill levels should go up dramatically. Also, one's skill levels should be determined by their profession and not just a "random number" given. For instance, marksmanship should be for agents and other professions who rely on this and given bonuses based on that profession. Those skills that are increased every time I level? I don't see the usage except when I am picking boxes. Where does my streetwise come into play? I think our skills should be explained more thoroughly for "live."

The skills being used in Live aren't necessarily portrayed by the ones we use in Beta, but skill explanations have been available for a while. I think this list is also somewhere on the board, but the page was on the top of my head:

I'm unclear on what you meant by the other part; why would you suddenly receive a skill spike? |

Agents can take assassination jobs if they so desire. Hell, if I wanted to be a Psionic assassin I could be, but I'm not going to be very good at it. Agents have the advantage because of their stealth abilities. Although remember, Agent jobs are not like Merc contracts. Only Mercs will have legal protection for assassination, Agents (or any other profession for that matter) won't have any and if caught can be charged with murder. _________________ God has no place within these walls, just as facts have no place within organized religion.

Will there be hired goons to protect you from assasins who are mostly NPCs and background checks. Also will there be crime bosses , Dons, and "godfathers". Would be pretty complex but i'm confident you'll do very well. _________________ Wash, Rinse, Repeat. <---Instructions found on a brain washing machine. |
