can we have these, makes the gun pulse/marksmanship and bladed...and i know this part will get told NOT but here goes, maybe be able to skin with it...

and how about a command that allows us to smack the opponent with the butt of the weapon?

While the messaging doesn't come right out and say it, guns can be used as blunt weapons already which I would assume would be with the butt, since using the barrel isn't really good for it.

I don't think having bayonets seems too unreasonable, though they wouldn't be the finest swords ever made or anything, but one problem is that adding bladed weapon ability would most likely eliminate the ability to use it as a blunt.

Would it be too much of a pain in the ass to give it seperate verbs and damage for slash/thrust/bash?

I will keep all this in mind when I get into re-devving combat for live, but I can't make any promises. Particularly if a significant level of code will go into something will only benefit a couple of less used attacks on one weapon type, I have to consider that. I also have to consider the effects on breakage. <grin>
