Tresaure boxes have been updated. The chance to find a box and the number of items within has not been changed. The rate at which types of items is found has been changed, however, because it was out of sorts and this was exaggerated with the new Lucky trait.

Treasure is classified into five categories: Junk, Gems/Cash, Semi-Rare, Rare, and Ultra-Rare. The chance of finding each has been modified.

Low level boxes will contain a lot of junk, and cash/gems. A few semi-rares, almost no rares, and virtually nonexistent ultras.

Mid level boxes contain some junk, a good amount of gems/cash, a fairly small amount of semi-rares, a scant amount of rares and the occasional ultra.

High level boxes contain a smaller amount of junk, less cash/gems, and more semi-rares, with this group contributing a lot to the total treasure. Rares are still rare but chance of finding one goes up to as high as about half a percent chance per item found. Ultras are still very hard to get but more common than in the other boxes.

Then there are very high level boxes that currently don't exist on any critters around, but the lowest of this tier can be found if you have Lucky. These contain even less junk, more semi-rares than cash/gems, and up to close 1% chance of rare per item and about a third of a percent chance to get an ultra per item.

All of these numbers are subject to change. I may either make rares more common, or make them better in quality, depending on how often they now come out.

The Lucky trait increases the quality of found items from any creature that drops boxes. The Unlucky flaw reduces their quality similarly. But note, you WILL NOT GET GOOD BOXES OR MAKE BETTER CASH BY HUNTING UNDER YOUR LEVEL. Hunting slightly under may pay off but hunting well under will only reduce your income.

Yea your soul and your first-born son.

What does a flux blade do? Ive seen Aidan use hers and occasionally it says the enemy looks 'drained'. What does that mean? Draining health or stamina?

*sighs* You guys are totally making me want to stop fighting in rhurgals, even though they teach a hojillion times better than skeletons, for some inexplicable reason. I guess I could move up to those things that you have to climb that thing to get to.

Flux causes the target to lose focus.

I don't know how rare this is but I found:

a massive eilaro shock maul with a thick black rubber grip in the left.

This weapon is capable of doing amazing blunt damage.

+3 coordination

+3 strength

+4 vitality

+6 parry

<g> note "in the left" is not part of the desc, it's the text from her inventory / look text... but that's an ultra rare.

Are the high/mid/etc. level boxes based strictly on the level of the critter? Or are there some things that just have good boxes, for whatever reason?

On the level of the critter, though there can be slight deviations in some cases.

Na. If you do find an ultra rare one, it will have multiple bonuses above 1 or 2 points.

A trench coat, but as Neifl said, usually for traveling, esp. like traveling via motorcycle, on Earth / RL that is.
