I think that the treasure in boxes should be looked at a bit. . .the amount found in boxes is too close I think. . . hardly any difference between borkin hunter boxes and jaddan skeleton boxes. . .and in some cases finding more in a much weaker critter box than stronger. . .

Though i remember hearing something about how perception affects what you find in boxes? is that true?

I went around and collected 2 boxes from a variety of critters. . .the results were pretty random. . I dont think they should be. .I think the rewards for hunting higher should be more. . .and less for hunting lower. . .again these are just my opinions.

jaddan skeleton box - ruby(20)
jaddan skeleton box - aroai stone(35) and a slab of pink eorit stone(150)

eobais worker box - aroai stone(20) and a vellian ingot(20)
eobais worker box - ilafai stone(30)

eobais forager box - ortus flower(40) $150
eobais forager box - copper ingot(10) and some sirolei ivy(10)

borkin warrior box - $200
borkin warrior box - a thin vial filled with a black liquid(1) and a silver nugget(10)

borkin hunter box - titanium ingot(35) $100
borkin hunter box - alloy ingot(40), silver ingot(35), $300

mamujuk berserker box - silver ingot(30), $150, $250
mamujuk berserker box - aroai stone(40), $300

I have to agree. I did something like this just out of curiosity not long ago and guards and chiths have about the same things in their boxes. I know the cash is different 8-10 from chiths and 40-50 from guards but it is kind of disapointing to see the same things in level 3 boxes as are in level 50.

I totally agree and Trevor said that the glacier critters would pay more but after seeing what is in the boxes I dont see them paying more at all.

I'll look into it when I return. I know the level of the box has an effect on chance to get rarer items, and I'd like to hear from people who get a lot of rares if they find them on low or high level stuff. It also affects the max possible number of objects that might be in a box I think... but I'll look at it all when I come back Sunday.

How many rares do you find in lower level critters by comparison?

Before what change? And yeah, perception makes a big difference in sheer number of boxes found, so your chances are better, period, of better finds.

i almost always find one rare item in the swamps. didnt matter on the critter, sometimes warrior, zerker, worker, hunter, forager box, it seemed it was more the number of boxes and time between them than the critter. but in one week i found 5 plussed items.

in my attempts to find rare items ive found....none.

i wouldnt say i hunt a lot with chijuu but i do a fair share and i find a good plenty number of boxes. Ive never once found a rare item. I have found daggers and axes and what have you but nothing plusses (worth keeping). Which i find mildly disgruntling myself.

Yanno, I recently realized that I had found a few items. I find a borkin throwing axe, about 5 of them. I don't know if that's special or not. I also found a ring that gives plus 1 *That I know of* to Heavy Armor. I gave that away, because I can't even wear light armor yet. I think that was a good choice. I hunt until my mind is full, and the room is empty. Then I take a break, and then go back to hunting. ALso what affects it is if I have to empty my backpack. I also must admit, I am Lucky. ALso, I am hunting Eobais workers. I may go up soon, though. Thank you.

The borkin axes/clubs are a step or two above common items, I think.

well havent hunted in the swamps in ages but never find rares on the low level crits also how come if i kill a citizen of low standing say a bum or a peasant they seem to be carrying more than the artisan or the explorers ?

and they allo fight the same in manner of skill would be great to see one of them actually hit me back Smile
