Hiyas --
Shase Rivri here, the Artisan guru. Artisans to put it broadly make things with their hands, be it cooking, needlework, carving, painting etc etc. Some systems in the works are more in depth and I think, just plain more fun then those you can find in some RPGs. Some also allow customized pieces. Ohh la la. They go through series of steps that make it seem like you're really doing the art form! That's really Artisans in a nutshell. I'd be glad to answer any general or in depth questions you may have.

Do Artisans have to go out completely on their own to make money?
Or could say...a COOK find a job at a restaurant...and work their way up there?
I'd just like more detail, if you could.
Thanks,

Howdy --
To be completely honest, I've only worked on the basics for Artisans (painting, drawing, etc etc). Soon, gah I hate that word, I'd like to get into the more in depth and fun stuff.
I am not sure I totally under what you're asking me, so I'll just babble and hope I hit the answer you are looking for. I have thoughts of where players could get 'jobs' doing things such as your example of cooking. They could go to a restaurant and apply, or something, and if they have enough skill, etc etc, they'll be hired by that restaurant. If they blow up the kitchen they'll be fired, or accidentally use a poisonous leaf. Or, on the flip side, they do well, they get promoted to assistant chef, head chef, etc etc. Maybe have a limit of how many people can work at a certain place, making some people have to sketch scrawling for income. That's just an idea. Things are subject to change. How does that sound? Does that answer your question? I hope it does.
