Fighting
In a circular castle with no rooms while the king is away on a trip,
the queen is murdered. In determination to find out who killed her,
the king starts asking around. He first asks his 2 sons and they say
that they were out biking. A reasonable answer. He then asks the
gardener, and he claims that he was planting. He then walks over to a
servant and she says she was ironing in the corner. Last but not
least, he asks the court jester, and he says he was entertaining the
prince. Who killed the Queen?

The servant did. She said she was ironing in the corner.

But how was the jester entertaining the prince, when the kings two sons (the princes) were out biking? I think it was a big conspiracy, nobody liked the old hag anyway, the servant was just a scapegoat.

Counterfeit
You have nine coins. One of the nine is counterfeit. The counterfeit
coin can only be distinguished by weight --- it is heavier than the
rest. Using a balance scale "only twice", find the counterfeit coin.

SOLUTION:
Create three groups of three coins. Groups 1, 2 and 3. Balance Group 1
against Group 2. If the two groups balance, the bad coin is in Group
3. If one group of coins weighs more than the other, the bad coin is
in the heavier group. Once you have determined which group contains
the counterfeit coin, take any two coins from the bad group and weigh
them against each other. If they weigh the same, the bad coin is the
third coin. Otherwise the bad coin is the heavier coin of the two.

Shamelessly stolen from albinoblacksheep.com

-Chris

THIS IS A REALLY QUICK ONE!!
MIND TRICK? (Or not)
Have you ever wondered if your mind is
normal or different?
Well, do this little mind exercise and
find out at the end!
Free will or synaptic wiring? You be the judge.
Check out the following exercise,
guaranteed to raise an eyebrow.
There's no trick or surprise.
Just follow these instructions, and
answer the questions
one at a time and as quickly as you can. Again, as quickly
as you can but don't advance until you've done each of
them...really.
Now, scroll down (but not too fast, you might miss
something)........

What is:

1+5

2+4

3+3

4+2

5+1

Now repeat saying the number 6 to
yourself as fast as you can for
15 seconds. Then scroll down.

QUICK! THINK OF A VEGETABLE!
Then arrow down.

Keep going.

You're thinking of a carrot, right?

If not, you're among the 2% of the
population whose minds are different
enough to think of something else.
98% of people will answer with carrot when given this exercise.
Freaky, huh?

I guess I'm officially "different" though I always called it weird. Mr. Green

I fall in the 98%. But I am pretty sure this is common because a carrot is a common vegetable, and its name is 6 letters in length. Wink

I just kept trying not to think about sex, as I figured the rhyming aspect was the entire point of the excersize.

rule of thumb anything with a seed is a fruit yes even a tomatoe is a fruit. I said potatoe. Then i thought it was a trick. tripple 6 being the mark of the beast <read your bibles somewhere in revelations> Then I started thinking too much into it so that could be the reason why i said potatoe instead of carrot.

Hospital
Walter spent three days in the hospital. He was neither sick nor
injured, but when it was time to leave he had to be carried out. Why?

Because he was a new born baby.
