So, uh, anyone play in the orchestra in high school, or am I the case-exception?

I played clarinet in the symphony orchestra in high school. I played the viola for a year in 3rd grade too. Does that count?

I was in chorus in 4th grade.. and one day they told me just to lip-sync. Does that count? It's.. sorta.. performer-y related.

That must have been traumatizing. I didn't make the cut for chorus in 6th grade, even though I was in the super elite chorus in 5th grade. You think you're good at something, and then you're not. I don't think I ever got over that.

Good enough for me. I've got cello, stand-up bass, and some mediocre violin under my belt as far as the symphony-type stuff goes.

Awesome. I've only got 6 years or so of orchestra instrument experience, but I've been playing guitar for 21 years, and bass for 9. I've also dabbled in drums here and there over the course of time, but not with any degree of competency that I'd write home about.
I think between the entire lot of us, we can just about form a late-night talk-show band.

I played flute throughout grade school, but once I hit high school, I was never there enough to be in the band Cool I did take voice lessons during high school (outside of school time, of course) for a few years.
