Still going ahead with the plan to make Pulse weapon skill un-tripleable(?!?) by everyone except Mercenaries, Technicians and Troopers?

Triple skills won't exist in live, instead the cost of learning some skills will be based in part on profession. Psionics will certainly not learn it nearly as easily/cheaply as a Trooper or Tech.
There are no skill caps in live.
There are no plans to change how this works in test. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

Will you guys release a list that lets us know what skills are easier to train for which professions, maybe? I'd hate to train a bunch of pulse, only to learn that it's easier for mercenaries to use marksmanship, or something like that. I mean, when it gets closer to Live being released and such. |

Yeah. It will be obvious though. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

Just wondering if we choose our specialties if those will still be say at least neutral for the professions not related to the weapon use such as medics?
hmm not sure if that sounded right but I think what I mean is as a medic and I chose pulse and unarmed as my specialty would it still cost as much for me to train pulse as it would say if I decided to train bladed? _________________ Thissa Armistead |

That's assuming we still have the same specialization system, but that seems likely... anyway, if you specialized, it would seem your training cost for that skill would reduce. There'd be no cap-benefit for specializing since the new skill system has no caps. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

maybe its because i just got off work and right now, punch drunk,,,,
but by no caps, are you talking we can dump all our skill points in one skill per level,,,so when we go live, and go to remake ourselves,,,say we have 1000 skill points, we can then have 1000 in say pulse?
something here just isnt clicking in my tired brain. |

There will be no caps, correct. You could put all of your time and energy into one skill if you wanted to, yes. Of course the cost of for skills goes up as you improve the skill. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato
